A: The insert included with this case is designed to fit the Siros lamps, while a Unilite lamp does fit it in the inserts, it will not be perfectly form-fitting and still have some room for movement and therefore not recommended.

A: The Broncolor Siros 400s is a very good strobe. It is not a beginner strobe but is good for beginner to professional use.

Q: 3. How can this reflector be possibly used as an umbrella reflector as described by B&H? It is too wide. I tried it on my Siros L800 with the umbrella that came with the kit. Won't work.

A: Hi John, you are correct - the L40 reflector will not allow an umbrella to be attached. Only the Umbrella Reflector for Siros / Siros L (B&H#BRURSMFR#B-33.117.00), included with your Siros 800L, accommodates an umbrella.We have submitted a request to B&H have this corrected. A: Yes the Broncolor Flash Bag 2 can store 2 Siros 800S monolights.

A: The Broncolor Umbrella Reflector for Siros and Siros L Monolights B&H # BRURS is included with this monolight.

Q: 7. can I charge these batteries out of the light or do they have to be in the light to charge?

A: The Siros L batteries charge completely external to the lamp with a plug-in port on the battery to the included wall charger. From empty to fully-recharged is about 75 minutes too!

Q: 8. Is the modeling lamp proportional to the flash power? I mean is it possible to adjust it and make it proportional?

A: The Siros L LED modeling lamp is a fixed power output and cannot be dimmed to be proportional with its flash power setting.

Q: 9. Are these heads battery powered and HSS capable?

A: The Siros 400S is powered by a wall outlet and is not HS compatible. BUT the battery powered version - Siros 400L (B&H # BRS400LWFR2B MFR # B-31.710.07) is completely battery powered and HS compatible for Canon, Nikon, and Sony.

Have used Broncolor for years got the L40 to replace well-used traveler reflectors. A bit bulkier but very well made less likely to dent or bend. Double-walled reflector this built and barn doors and grides at a great price. 5

I'm converting from Alien Bees to Broncolor moonlights. This is th unit used for grids on the Siros. It works very well. 5

This reflector is pretty straightforward, mounts to my Siros 800, and I use it for the Broncolor line of barndoors and grids. I bought the Broncolor Siros set that did not come with this kind of reflector (comes with 2 standard umbrella cylinder reflectors), and I now have many more possibilities with this reflector and the modifiers I previously mentioned. FYI, you cannot use Barndoors + Grids, the barndoors fit inside the outer rim of this reflector, and only add a small amount of thickness to the inner diameter, but you cannot put grids inside it, incase you were wondering (and not that you would need to utilize both, of course). 5
