The Tiffen 3 x 4" 4 Coral Soft-Edge Graduated Filter helps to specifically add a warm, pale orange coloration to skies and other bright areas of an image while allowing a portion of the image to remain neutrally colored. The filter's coloring is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged transition between the density and clear areas. The 4 color density provides less coral coloration than the 5 density, but more than the 3 density filter.

This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. It measures 3 x 4" / 76.2 x 101.6mm.

Note: A horizontal orientation filter's line of transition runs parallel to the long side of the filter.

Provides a natural-looking warming effect to select areas of the image.

Graduated filter design keeps a portion of the image neutral, resulting in a more realistic look while allowing for the sky or other bright areas to take on the color of the density.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the new g master lens focus by wire ?

A: While yes, it is focus by wire, and while yes, I hate focus by wire, I recently picked up the 24-70/2.8 GM. That lens is also focus by wire, but unlike all it's little brothers and sisters, this one is not accelerated. If you spin the ring to a specific point on the lens, it will focus the same distance every time. I think Sony realized that they had made a huge mistake with all the preceding lenses (especially since they were marketing these cameras to the video community as well; the video community is heavily manual focus), and adjusted some parameters to do away with the whole acceleration thing because NO ONE LIKES IT. I'm so happy that this was addressed with the GM series. It had me super worried about my purchase until I held it in my hands.

Q: 2. Will this lens focus underwater when used on camera in an underwater housing?

A: Yes it will focus.

Q: 3. Is this lens heavy enough to justify a tripod collar?

A: No it is not , there is no tripod collar for this lens

Q: 4. If you Shake this lens very gently, would you feel there are something move in the lens? Or if you push the front part in the radial direction, would it move little bit and feel there is a little gap?

A: those issues are normal for this lens and others. It is the internal mechanism and is nothing to worry about.

Q: 5. can this product be used with Sony ALPHA 7 camera

A: As the Sony E PZ 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 OSS Lens is designed for the NEX lens mount, the lens will fit onto the Sony Alpha a7 Mirrorless Digital Camera. However, do note that the Sony Alpha a7 Mirrorless Digital Camera is a full-frame camera, and the Sony E PZ 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 OSS Lens is designed for APS-C cropped sensors. As such, the use of the Sony E PZ 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 OSS Lens will reduce the image's maximum megapixel count from 24 megapixels down to 10 megapixels if you use the APS-C crop mode. If you do not use the APS-C crop mode, then there will be a black vignette around the edge of your image where the smaller rear end of the lens is blocking light from reaching the full-frame sensor.

Q: 6. Will this work on the bare bulb AD200 setup?

A: Yes, this would work with the bare bulb setup on the Godox AD200.

Q: 7. Does the lens hood store on the lens or is it a rectangular shaped hood?

A: Yes you can stored it but not in reverse because the hood is rectangular.

Q: 8. Is it safe to turn the focus ring on the lens when in the AF mode? (sony 70-200 f2.8 GM)

A: Yes, that is perfectly safe.

Q: 9. Is there a arca-swiss replacement foot available for this lens? If so, what company is offering it?

A: I'm sorry, there is not a foot available for this lens.

Q: 10. Buyers have confirmed that the CL-1218 fits the Nikon 16-80 f2.8-4 lens. Does it also fit the relatively big lens hood? It's square-shaped, rather than the smaller round shape.

A: Yes, it is a bit snug but the hood for the Nikon 16-80mm DX lens does fit into the CL1218.
