The Tram TR50 is a professional omnidirectional electret condenser lavalier microphone with a low-profile design resulting in low visibility. The TR50 features a frequency response that enhances the character and frequencies associated with speech.

The polar pattern provides a generous pick up response at the direct and off-axis sections of the microphone capsule. This enhances sensitivity and minimizes noise associated with movement, wind and clothing contact. The TR50 features minimum sound coloration and is available in a variety of connectors for direct integration with wireless transmitters. This version features the TA5-pin connection for use with Audio-Technica and Lectrosonics wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How does this smartlav+ mic compare to the Rode Lavalier Go?

A: The Rode smartLav+ has a TRRS connector which allows it to serve as a mic for a smartphone. The Rode Lavalier GO has a TRS connector which will not work in a smartphone and is designed for standard microphone inputs.

Q: 2. Will this work with the standard video camera recording on a Samsung Galaxy S6 edge?

A: Yes but keep in mind you will have no level/gain options on the basic video apps, so you might be stuck recording a low level signal.

Q: 3. Does the this mic plug directly into a Zoom H1 recorder?

A: I believe you'll need to buy one of these (I had to buy one too to make it work): https://a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1048150-REG/rode_sc3_trrs_to_trs_adaptor.html target= _blank www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1048150-REG/rode_sc3_trrs_to_trs_adaptor.html/a

Q: 4. Will this work with the Audio-Technica Pro 70 lav?

A: The Audio Technica Pro 70 lavalier is compatible with the Lavalier Accessory Backup kit - Large.

Q: 5. Would a mic with a Sennheiser G4 adapter be able to plug into this?

A: Microphones that have a 3.5mm TRS locking connector and are compatible for use with Sennheiser wireless bodypack transmitters are also compatible for use with the Zoom F2 and F2-BT. For example, the Sennheiser ME 2-II and MKE 2 Gold lavalier microphones are both compatible for use with the F2 and F2-BT recorders.

Q: 6. Can you use this to print on 4x6 paper? I want to be able to make several prints without committing to a full 8X10 page.

A: You can use this enlarger to make 4 x 6 prints, depending on the easel that you're using to crop the print to size.

Q: 7. Will this work with an iphone 5s?

A: Yes

Q: 8. External Power: I see one of the suggested accessories is a USB power plug. If I have a battery power pack, can I connect that to the Zoom F2 and provide additional power to the F2?

A: Yes, this can be powered off of a power brick

Q: 9. Any chance they might sell a cheaper version without the lav mic? I do not want to pay for low quality mics when I have my own.

A: No, the F2 is only available with the lav mic included. Recorders like the F2 are about the same size as a wireless bodypack transmitter and have a locking input connector which prevents the mic from accidentally disconnecting. The lav is included to assure that a compatible mic is used. The Zoom H1n 2-Input / 2-Track Portable Handy Recorder (B&H # ZOH1N) is lower in price and does not included a lav but does have a built-in X/Y microphone along with a single 3.5mm input capable of handling mic or line level input signals. The Tascam DR-05X 2-Input / 2-Track Portable Audio Recorder with Onboard Stereo Microphone (B&H # TADR05X) is similar to the H1n and also lower in price. Other ultra compact recorders that are about the same size as the F2, such as the Zoom F1, Tascam DR-10L, and Tentacle Sync Track E, sell for around the same price or are priced higher and include a lav mic.

Q: 10. The Tascam DR10L has a time track incrementing function that can create new files at regular intervals (every 15 minutes) during recording. Does the ZOOM F2 Fieldrecorder supports this feature as well?

A: This recorder will only put markers each time a new recording is made.
