The Tiffen 6 x 6" Complement Amber 2 Glass Filter is part of a series of special effect filters intended to balance the overall tone of your image. Graduated Complement filters provide the needed color balance to half of your image by filling in a "complementary" color. Tiffen Complementary filters are designed to be used together with a Color-Grad filter in this manner, or to add a bit of color interest on their own.

A beautiful sunset, a serene ocean and a wooden pier with an old fisherman standing alone at the end of the dock. What a photo it is! So, you throw on your Graduated Twilight filter and the vast sky dominating the image gets "bumped" up in color and contrast. But what about the foreground? The Graduated Complement filter allows you to "share" some of that "bump" with the all-too-often forgotten foreground. Thus, the entire image benefits. The overall tint your photo now has makes it an even better photo.

Q: 1. what is rrs tripod collar, in the note?

A: Really Right Stuff does not make tripod collard for Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS Lens, they only make a foot which you can attach on the lens tripod collar. Please open the link below to review the dedicated tripod foot from Really Right Stuff. Really Right Stuff LCF-101 Replacement Foot for Sony FE 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM OSS and FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS Lenses BH #RELCF101RF • MFR #LCF-101 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1368075-REG/really_right_stuff_lcf_101_replacement_foot_for_sony.html

Q: 2. This one (G Master) or that one (Sony G F/2.8 OSS II)... I use Sony A7R II and Sony A99! Sony G is an A-Mount, also E-Mount via adapter, but 500 dollars more... I don't know which has better IQ to grap some of those! Pros and cons

A: The Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS E-mount Lens has not yet been release, as it is a new item that was recently announced, and is not yet stated to begin shipping until July 29, 2016. As such, I have yet to see any lens testing from reputable testers to compare the optical quality of the two lenses. The newer Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS E-mount Lens has 11 aperture blades for a more rounded aperture and bokeh (the A-mount lens used 9 blades), and also has more optical elements designed for more correction from aberration and to focus all light at a single point to increase sharpness, and also has a shorter minimum focus distance. The above are the comparisons from the lens' specifications released by Sony. Comparing the MTF chart, the newer Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS E-mount Lens seems slightly sharper, especially when viewing the corner/edge performance. However, for a comparison in real-world testing, you would have to wait until the lens is released and available for testing.I will add one point; if you are using both A-mount and E-mount cameras, and you only want to have to purchase one lens, then the Sony 70-200mm F2.8 G SSM II would be recommended. While both are good lenses, you may use an adapter to use the A-mount lens on the smaller E-mount, but there is no adapter to use the smaller E-mount lens on the larger A-mount.

Q: 3. How does this lens' manual focus compare to that of a mechanical focus lens?

A: It is similar and does allow for very precise focusing, but does not have hard stops like a mechanical focus lens.

Q: 4. I've had this lens for several months on my A7 and have just recently noticed some movement / play in the lens mount. I can move the lens a little whereas before it was always solid connection. Is this an issue I should be concerned with or should it be ok? I've seen metal replacement mounts advertised but not sure if that is a good idea or not or if I should even consider? Thanks

A: Have no idea

Q: 5. I just purchased this lens for use on my new Sony A7R III. Very heavy and hard to imagine using a camera shoulder strap that allows this lens to pull down on the camera? Damage to the camera? What solutions are there for straps while carrying this lens on the A7R while walking around? This is a new system for me. I just converted from Nikon D810. Thank you in advance.

A: I come from a Canon 5D world, moved into a Sony alpha 6500 for a lot of reasons, but weight and size were a big one. That being said, I have always used an over shoulder sling type that secures to the tripod connection point on base of camera body. It swivels and it can literally dangle behind you, hang and all of the weight is distributed up and over opposite should and it wont slip off.

Q: 6. Hi, Could someone tell me what the outside circumference of the C5 is? Thanks!

A: It is 6 inches in diameter which is equal to 18.85 inches in circumference.

Q: 7. Is the lens still made in Japan? Or has production moved somewhere else? Thanks.

A: Currently, we still have it listed as being made in Japan, but as always - that is subject to change.

Q: 8. Can you please advise the maximum length of the FE 24-240mm when zoomed fully out?

A: The length of the FE 24-240 fully extended from the mount of the camera to the end of the lens without the lens hood is 7 1/4 inches. Hope this helps.

Q: 9. How much image quality loss is there when using the 1.4 and 2.0 tele extenders with this lens?

A: There us no loss in image quality at all. But you will lose a stop...the lens will now be an F4.

Q: 10. Can you not use Starsense camera, with a Starsense HC, or do you need standard HC?

A: Good morning, If the StarSense autoalign system is used, it is mandatory that the dedicated StarSense hand controller be used for the autoalignment process. However, If the StarSense camera and the autoalign system is not used, the StarSense hand controller can be used to "manually" control the telescope in place of the standard Nexstar Plus hand controller.
