The Tiffen 2 x 3" 3 Twilight Graduated Filter (Vertical Orientation) helps to specifically add a unique deep magenta to pink gradient to skies and other bright areas of an image while allowing a portion of the image to remain neutrally colored. The filter's coloring is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged transition between the density and clear areas. The 3 color density provides more twilight coloration than the 2 density filter.

This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. It measures 2 x 3" / 50.8 x 76.2mm.

Provides a unique deep reddish magenta to pink gradient across half of the filter plane.

Graduated filter design keeps a portion of the image neutral, resulting in a more realistic look while allowing for the sky or other bright areas to take on the color of the density.

A vertical orientation filter's line of transition runs parallel to the short side of the filter.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How well does this lens work in low light?

A: This isn't an exceptionally wide aperture, so if low-light performance is your top priority, I'd recommend looking at the 70-200 f2.8, or changing your body to an A7s. However, I've been shooting with this as my everyday lens on my A7ii for over a year and I'm very satisfied with the performance in all conditions. I recently tested it against a G-master lens and was surprised that the difference in the image quality was extremely marginal.

Q: 2. can I use the telescope on a regular video tripod?

A: This telescope can only be used with the included proprietary tripod.

Q: 3. Can the new Canon RF mounts connect to this scope through a adapter?

The Celestron T-Mount Adapter for Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescopes BH #CETAC5 • MFR #93633-A Celestron T-Mount Adapter for Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescopes BH #CETAC5 • MFR #93633-A To attach to the rear of the scope and the Vivitar T-Mount to Canon RF-Mount Adapter BH #VIHFT2EOSR • MFR #HF-T2-EOS-R https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1494990-REG/vivitar_hf_t2_eos_r_t_mount_to_canon_rf_mount.html To mount on your camera body. Those (2) pieces will now screw together

Q: 4. The description says the lens is quiet, but is the focusing quiet enough to use a hot shoe-mounted mic when shooting video? How's it compare to the AF-S in focusing noise?

A: The lens is very quiet and a hotshoe mic will not pick up any lens noise.

Q: 5. What adaptor would you recommend to use iPhone 11 with this scope?

A: The Celestron NexYZ 3-Axis Universal Smartphone Adapter #81055 will be able to attach and hold the iPhone 11 up to the C5's eyepiece for proper centering.

Q: 6. Difference between gm I and Gm ii

Q: 7. Is this lens heavy enough to justify a tripod collar?

A: No it is not , there is no tripod collar for this lens

Q: 8. Is this compatible with phase detect auto focus on the a6300? I've seen mention where it is not.

A: I have a A6000 & the lens works fully with all focusing modes. You should check with Sony to see if the hardware updates in the A6300 present any compatibility issues with the lens.

Q: 9. Can you not use Starsense camera, with a Starsense HC, or do you need standard HC?

A: Good morning, If the StarSense autoalign system is used, it is mandatory that the dedicated StarSense hand controller be used for the autoalignment process. However, If the StarSense camera and the autoalign system is not used, the StarSense hand controller can be used to "manually" control the telescope in place of the standard Nexstar Plus hand controller.

Q: 10. I'd like to recreate a cinema zoom. Is this lens parfocal or varifocal? And if so will the subject remain in focus while zooming without the use of autofocus? I'm not looking to use autofocus during a zoom.

A: This lens is varifocal, and is not designed to maintain focus when zooming.
