The DPA DAD6001 is an adapter featuring XLR and Microdot connections allowing you to attach a miniature DPA microphone to a preamp, mixer, camera, or similar device able to supply phantom power.

The adapter is functional at 12V, but requires 48V for the connected mic to reach full specifications. The active-signal balanced wiring allows for longer cable runs with less noise—with a common mode rejection ratio (CMRR) that is better than 60 dB in the 50 Hz to 15 kHz range.

This version features a belt clip for added convenience in mobile situations. The belt clip can be removed for direct camera connections if desired.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Hi will this fit a nikon d810 with a 24-70? Is the water repellant wax too greasy it might touch the camera?

A: The bag is lined with a foam like material and will definitely not get grease on your camera. I have a canon, and the bag is quite adaptable with movable velcro sections. I think it will work for you. I've been happy with it.

Q: 2. Has anyone added a clip on water bottle holder to the side of this? Which one? What about the handle strap, which works for you?

A: You can clip water bottles to the outside. You can use any you like.

Q: 3. Would this bag hold a GH4 + prime lens, along with maybe a second prime lens? It would also be great to slip an iPad mini in there too, but maybe that's too much.

A: I'm Pretty sure it will. Though you might need to fit either the second prime or the mini and not both. I Have had my mini in the bag with my ilc. Also b&h sells a shoulder pad (its like what postal carriers wear, canted to fit the shoulder) which I bought and use regularly.

Q: 4. will a pro DSLR such as a Nikon D3 with 2 lens fit this bag and can the bag be compacted to fit in suit case ?

A: This bag is best used as a small peripheral bag for small flash or lenses. It is not huge. Review published dimensions against your equipment. That said it is a superb solution for peripherals and should compact and store easily in a suitcase. It is also very rugged and well-made. Very highly recommended.

Q: 5. Will this bag stand up on its own? Being a small, almost-messenger bag, it is pretty skinny, which is why I ask.

A: The footprint dimensions of the F-5XB is 10 x 4.5 .The bag is wide enough to stand up on its own.

Q: 6. Is this waxed canvas?

A: Yes this model is water resistant wax canvas.

Q: 7. The military green version looks grayish in the photos here. Other sites sometimes looks brownish. Are the b&h photos an accurate depiction of color? Anyone buy the military green?

A: It's olive green it's greener then what appears on photos

Q: 8. I have a Fuji X-E2 with 18-55 and a 50-230, I like to carry severe filters, a spare battery and a few other small items. Will this case be a good fit or should I go with something larger?

A: Yes, this case would be a good fit for your X-E2 with the two lenses and accessories you listed as wanting to contain in the bag.

Q: 9. The military green in the photos here look grayish. In other sites this particular bag looks brownish. Are the b&h photos an accurate depiction of color? Anyone have military green? Is it true military green?

A: It's olive green it's greener then what appears on photos

Q: 10. Is the black canvas, not the nylon one, discreet enough? Still screams camera bag? They say be discreet with the color when traveling, but I like that black. Will get a brown or green otherwise. imo they all look like camera bags in the photos but may be different in person?

A: Fairly discreet, but DOMKE is a well known brand of professional grade camera bags.

I'm currently using this as a small film kit bag. It's the perfect size to hold my Leica M3, Sekonic L-558, and a couple rolls of film. It's very inconspicuous to those who don't know what it is. As the name implies, this bag is rugged. It feels very well made and I don't feel as if it's going to fall apart on me. Even the inside feels like it will keep my Leica safe from scratches, it's soft enough for that but stiff enough so it's not easily broken or bent. I do wish the bottom had a pad similar to what the foam/cloth walls are made of so if it does fall, it's slightly more protected.

Love this bag!! Looks like an everyday purse. The small size fits two lenses easily, and prevents me from bringing too much junk along.

I use this bag for my Nikon D3000. I was not interested in the typical camera bag and this bag is perfect. It fits the camera with a lens attached and there is also room for an additional lense. Love, Love, Love this bag!!!

Domke bags are the only shoulder bags that I can tolerate. I don't usually like the idea of carrying any sort of load on just one shoulder, and most shoulder bags slip off, hurt my shoulder, or annoy in other ways. Not Domke bags, with their clever Gripper straps. That said, I still generally dislike shoulder bags, with the exception of three - Domke F-804 (used as an overnighter, not for photo gear), Domke F-6 and Domke F2 (although that one is borderline - when full, it can be very heavy!). So, when I started looking for a small camera bag, I didn't even look at other brands. And just as well - this just might be the perfect small camera bag! It fits a surprising amount of gear inside, but it doesn't get in the way when you want to reach inside to grab your gear to use it. It is fast becoming my favourite (I have found that the larger the bag, the more I want to take with me, so I am now limiting myself to smaller bags). A great camera bag, and highly recommended for anyone looking for a small shoulder bag for your photo gear.

So nice for carrying the things that really matter. The bag has a great feel, tough but still soft. Inside is pretty great padding and how cool is it you can wear it around your waste?!?

I bought this for my new Fuji X100 and associated gear. It is perfectly sized, and fits the camera in the Fuji case, lens hood, charger, extra battery, extra cards, manual, with a little room to spare. The bag zips closed to seal it from either the elements, or in case of a spill (stuff doesn't fall out), and velcro closure. Highly recommend for this camera.

This bag is inconspicuous and can hold the essntials. For the longest time I had in this a Nikon FM2 with 28mm and a small lens and one flash. Then I started to carry my 1D MK II with a 50 attached and a fisheye in the other slot. It can even hold my 500cm with 80mm attached and an extra back. The canvas is tough and can take a beating. If you need more than a camera, 1-2 lenses and a small flash, then you'll need a bigger bag.

Perfect size for micro 4/3 camera, 2 or 3 lenses and other bits and pieces. I cannot fault it at all. Adequate padding in all the right places. I was concerned that 2nd pocket doesn't have a zip, but it's better without one. Nothings going to fall out unless you're an idiot. it even fits a 7 tablet in the front. I don't think I'll ever use the belt loop feature to turn it into a bum-bag, but it could be usefull to hold a small tripod/monopod.

Sturdy and compact, olive color is unobtrusive. Easily fits my D5100 with 16-85 zoom plus room for a large accessory like either my SB800 flash or 70-300 zoom. Doesn't look corny or over-styled. If you want more space/pockets, order the larger version.

I debated several months which small bag to buy for Leica M-system, as well as occasional DSLR. I read all the positive reviews for the F-5XB, then finally purchased the RuggedWear version. I've used it enough to formulate some opinions of my own, so here are the salient points. The good: It really is the ideal size for the smallest practical bag to carry around. It holds an M camera and 2-4 lenses, or, like today, a D5100 with a Zeiss 50/2 Makro-Planar, a Nikon 28-300 zoom, keys, wallet, phone, etc. Easily. Access is very good. I think the comments about too much velcro miss the point a bit. The velcro is so big because, if you leave the zipper open and overstuff the main compartment, or decide to put a camera in lens-first for rapid access, you can still get a decent closure with the velcro flap. I would personally not want to lose this useful added functionality by having less velcro, or a snap or clasp. Also, if you take the Domke logo off (easily done in about 20 minutes), it's about as nondescript as you could want. The bad: I can not for the life of me figure out why they did not pad the ends, as that would have made the bag essentially perfect. It's not a deal-breaker, but I will at some point cannibalize another bag and sew some end panels into this one. Also, while the RuggedWear finish looks very nice and no doubt is protective, the wax is kind of greasy, comes off on your hands, and gets on your equipment. I'm sure it doesn't hurt anything, but if you're at a wedding wearing a nice suit and shaking hands with people, this isn't the bag to bring. But, to put in perspective how much I actually like this bag, I have subsequently purchased another F-5XB in black canvas for social events, while keeping this one for outdoor use. Still gets 5 stars from me even with its faults.
