The Tiffen 4 x 6" 1/2 Coral Soft-Edge Graduated Filter helps to specifically add a warm, pale orange coloration to skies and other bright areas of an image while allowing a portion of the image to remain neutrally colored. The filter's coloring is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged transition between the density and clear areas. The 1/2 color density provides less coral coloration than the 1 density, but more than the 1/4 density filter.

This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. It measures 4 x 6" / 101.6 x 152.4mm.

Note: A horizontal orientation filter's line of transition runs parallel to the long side of the filter.

Provides a natural-looking warming effect to select areas of the image.

Graduated filter design keeps a portion of the image neutral, resulting in a more realistic look while allowing for the sky or other bright areas to take on the color of the density.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I have the Nikon Z with FTZ adaptor for my existing Nikon FS lenses including the FS 24-70 2.8 ED. Is this new lens an improvement?

A: Yes, the 24-70mm Z lens is excellent and is an improvement over the F mount 24-70.

Q: 2. I have a NEX 7 are there any issues using this lens with my camera? What if any limitations might there be? It seems that a tulip style lens shade would allow the autofocus to perform better than the square video style supplied - is that true?

A: This lens is fully compatible with the Sony NEX-7. The shape of the lens hood you use will not affect the functionality of the camera's autofocus.

Q: 3. Is this OTA compatible with this equatorial mount? I want to buy the SE8 and upgrade it with this mount to improve stability https://www.bhphotovideo.com/spanish/c/product/917599-REG/celestron_91519_advanced_vx_computerized_mount.html

A: Yes, the NexStar 8SE optical tube features a narrow dovetail bar which can be mounted on an Advanced VX mount.

Q: 4. Can this be adapted to fit my D850?

A: No, this cannot be adapted to fit F-mount series cameras.

Q: 5. Has anybody used this lens with a gimbal such as the Moza Air 2 yet? I know the 24-70mm f/4 is sold in the Z6 filmmaker kit and works fine with the Moza Air 2 purchased there. But, I know this is a heavier piece of glass and I'm trying to find out if this lens is still easy to use on the gimbal. Let me know if anyone has used it in that setting or knows the answer to this.

A: The Moza Air 2 would have no issues supporting the Z6 with this lens.

Q: 6. can this product be used with Sony ALPHA 7 camera

A: As the Sony E PZ 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 OSS Lens is designed for the NEX lens mount, the lens will fit onto the Sony Alpha a7 Mirrorless Digital Camera. However, do note that the Sony Alpha a7 Mirrorless Digital Camera is a full-frame camera, and the Sony E PZ 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 OSS Lens is designed for APS-C cropped sensors. As such, the use of the Sony E PZ 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 OSS Lens will reduce the image's maximum megapixel count from 24 megapixels down to 10 megapixels if you use the APS-C crop mode. If you do not use the APS-C crop mode, then there will be a black vignette around the edge of your image where the smaller rear end of the lens is blocking light from reaching the full-frame sensor.

Q: 7. would it be compatible with the new a6000 body?

A: The 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 PZ OSS Alpha E-mount Lens is compatible with the Sony a6000.

Q: 8. What is the difference in image quality between the Z f2.8 and Z f4 24-70? A few reviews say the 2.8 is better, but what are the differences? Thanks

A: f2.8 has better lower light performance and better depth of field

Q: 9. I have this mounted on an FS-7, but I can't get it to do a slow creeping zoom. At the slowest speed on the handle zoom it is still too fast - any suggestions without using a separate zoom controller?

A: Yes, that is the slowest it can zoom without getting a separate zoom controller.

Q: 10. Is there any variable ND filter that fits inside the lens hood?

A: Like any other mainstream 70-200mm zoom, you can put as many filters as practical on this lense's filter threads and the hood will go over the filters and attach to the lens via its dedicated baynot mount.
