The Tiffen 4 x 6" 3 Red Soft-Edge Graduated Filter helps to specifically add a warm, bright red coloration to skies and other bright areas of an image while allowing a portion of the image to remain neutrally colored. The filter's coloring is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged transition between the density and clear areas. The 3 color density provides less red coloration than the 4 density, but more than the 2 density filter.

This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. It measures 4 x 6" / 101.6 x 152.4mm.

Note: A horizontal orientation filter's line of transition runs parallel to the long side of the filter.

Provides a bright red coloring to select areas of the image.

Graduated filter design keeps a portion of the image neutral, resulting in a more realistic look while allowing for the sky or other bright areas to take on the color of the density.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this Manfrotto tripod have a screw to add any arm mounts like the Manfrotto befee advance?

A: I'm sorry it does not.

Q: 2. Will this tripod support long telephoto lenses like the Sigma 150-600? My question is not related to weight but whether the lens can be attached (safely) to the tripod. Thank you!

A: The tripod will support 26lbs. I have used this tripod with my D800/D4 and a 200-400 f4 lens. Yes, it attaches safely.

Q: 3. Would this be suitable for ceiling mounting a 9 x 20' vinyl backdrop on a roller - total weight around 15 pounds? I was planning to suspend from the ceiling joists on brackets.

A: Your backdrop would need to be rolled on something with a hollow core to slip the white plastic parts of the Manfrotto Expand Drive set into the core (similar to the cardboard cores of the seamless paper backdrops). Then you expand the white plastic until it is tight inside of the core. My Expan Drive Set is attached to the brackets that Manfrotto sells to the Expan Drive Set on to autopoles. I also had a carpenter create a very sturdy wood enclosure that is drilled into the ceiling to keep the autopoles with three backgrounds on chains from ever being too heavy and falling over. Not sure this answers your question, but if you want more info, just send another request. The system does not allow me to add my email or phone to this response. The Expan Drive set is strong though and sturdy, like most things that Manfrotto makes. I have two 12-foot-wide, 120 foot seamless backgrounds suspended on them (and those are really heavy), as well as a very heavy 12-foot-wide handprinted canvas background (also very heavy). The key is to make sure that everything is VERY well secured to wall or ceiling, although vinyl isn't very heavy compared to canvas. I used a professional carpenter for this, because I didn't want to take any chances on the supports that were holding the Expan Drive Set with the three backgrounds falling forward onto my subjects. Make sure that there are no kinks in the plastic chains before pulling on them though, as this will make the chains slip on their tracks.

Q: 4. Does it come with weights?

A: No

Q: 5. Does this tripod allow for both landscape and portrait orientation without any other accessories? I have a Canon 5D Mark IV and want to make sure I can shoot both orientations before ordering this.

A: Yes, it does allow for both landscape and portrait, the ball head has a cut out. However, I would recommend an L bracket especially with a heaver camera. Really Right Stuff mounts which happen to be compatible.

Q: 6. Does the weight listed (3.7 lbs), include the head or is that just the legs? If just legs, what is the full weight with tripod head?

A: The head and the legs weigh 3.7lbs.

Q: 7. What is the largest diameter of the tripod when it is folded?

A: approximately 15 in diamter

Q: 8. 3/8" thread compatible?

A: Yes.

Q: 9. Will a Manfrotto 324RC2 ball head with 200PL-14 quick release plate, work on this tripod?

A: Sorry, I have no idea. I would imagine so...

Q: 10. How wide a seamless paper backdrop roll can this support?

A: 9 1/2 foot roll of paper with no problem.
