The Tiffen 4 x 6" 4 Cool Blue Hard-Edge Graduated Filter helps to specifically add a cool, purplish-blue coloration to skies and other bright areas of an image while allowing a portion of the image to remain neutrally colored. The filter's coloring is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a hard-edged transition between the density and clear areas. The 4 color density provides less cool blue coloration than the 5 density, but more than the 3 density filter.

This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. It measures 4 x 6" / 101.6 x 152.4mm.

Note: A horizontal orientation filter's line of transition runs parallel to the long side of the filter.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this 5400 or 7200 rpm?

A: This drive spins at 5400 RPM.

Q: 2. Can we format it to NTFS for Windows 7?

A: As far as I know, you should be able to reformat this disk to NTFS. However, I suggest you look at other Western Digital My Passport drives that are already formatted for Windows. Those might be a little less expensive and serve the same purposes for you.

Q: 3. Does this drive come with a USB 2.0 cable? It doesn't specify, it just says USB cable.

A: It comes with a USB 3.0 cable.

Q: 4. Does this have 7200 rpm?

A: It has at 5400 rpm drive. Its not a speed demon but great back-up drive for the price. Only drive this size that I know of with a 7200 rpm drive is the G-Force. Pricey but IMO worth the money not only for the speed but also the reliabilty.

Q: 5. does this drive works for USB 2.0 port ?

A: Yes, it will work with 2.0. Less transfer speed but it will still work fine.

Q: 6. Will it also work with Sierra?

A: I have not yet upgraded to Sierra, but have 2 of these drives. My research says yes, it will work AND you may experience issues with the Mac not seeing the drive in the beginning. One solution seems to be simply powering down and restarting. If it sees the drive then, no problems going forward. Another answer from the WD Community Forum is to follow the same WD instructions as for El Capitan.

Q: 7. I used this 1T Western Digital on a recent trip to back up my RAW plus jpg images and to also view the jpg files on my iPad. I was not able to figure out how to get the images to save to camera roll on my iPad. I could only get them to save on the mobile ap for the WD drive called My Cloud Has anyone figured out how to save to camera roll?

A: It does not appear WD provided an option to export to the camera roll.

Q: 8. Will this drive operate on bus power when connected to a computer? Or does it only operate on battery or ac adapter?

A: Not only does it operate on bus power connected to a computer, but it also charges it up.

Q: 9. Will this work with Snow Leopard?

A: The OS shouldn't matter since this is just a drive. I use it on both my Mac and PC with no issues.

Q: 10. Is this a solid state drive?

A: No. This is a traditional spinning drive.

This is my 2nd 2TB studio. Use them to backup content from my MacPros 3 HDs so that I have access to everything while I travel with my 2011 MacBook Pro. They look good. Small form factor. Perform great and are bus powered. Perfect for traveling. I particulalry like that they have FW800 - my 2010 MacPro doesn't have thunderbolt and I can't seem to find a reliable USB3 card. So FW800 is the fastest conection I can get. Most manufacturers are focusing on USB3 for portables - so if you have an older MacPro, I'd highly recommend you snap up one or two of these drives before they stop producing them.

I've had many WD products in the past, but this one (specifically the software) seems more straightforward than previous products. Great way to back up my desktop files and photos!
