The Tram TR50 is a professional omnidirectional electret condenser lavalier microphone with a low-profile design resulting in low visibility. The TR50 features a frequency response that enhances the character and frequencies associated with speech.

The polar pattern provides a generous pick up response at the direct and off-axis sections of the microphone capsule. This enhances sensitivity and minimizes noise associated with movement, wind and clothing contact. The TR50 features minimum sound coloration and is available in a variety of connectors for direct integration with wireless transmitters. This version features the TA5-pin connection for use with Audio-Technica and Lectrosonics wireless transmitters.

Q: 1. If I input HDMI, will the same signal come out of the SDI output as well as the HDMI output?

A: Yes, the same signal will come out of both the SDI and HDMI outputs.

Q: 2. Hi ther, the only setting i can change from this device is A or B Level, what do one or another does?

A: Normally you would leave the Blackmagic Design Micro Converter HDMI to SDI 3G (with Power Supply) on level A. At 3G rates of 50, 59.94 and 60 there are two supported SDI Protocols. You would set it based on the the equipment it is connected two. If you are unclear if you need A or B, set B. If you are not seeing an image, you can set it to A.

Q: 3. Can this be used with the FX6 to send a RAW signal from its SDI to a Ninja V recorder HDMI input?

A: It cannot. This will not process a RAW signal. There is no converter like this which would work for this function. You will need the Shogun 7 which processes a RAW SDI signal for use with the FX6.

Q: 4. Does this work with GoPros?

A: It will work with GoPros as long as you have an HDMI output from the GoPro.

Q: 5. I have a Panasonic HC-X2000. I would like to connect it in the following manner: camera (SDI) out to this converter SDI in, then HDMI OUT to a monitor & SDI LOOP OUT to ATEM SDI PRO ISO. Is this possible? I'm currently only getting a signal on the monitor (HDMI IN).

A: That set-up should work. Contact Blackmagic or B&H support if the problem persists.

Q: 6. Will this work with the ATEM Studio Pro HD and a PC for streaming?

A: The Micro Converter has nothing to do with connecting to a computer or streaming. You could consider the Ultrastudio Recorder 3G.

Q: 7. I am trying to run the HDMI output from a Sony CX405 handheld camera to this BM HDMI to SDI 3G converter - then into a BM HyperDeck Studio Mini. The HyperDeck Mini is not recognizing the SDI out of the converter- but the output from the camera does display on a TV. Do I need to adjust settings on the camera?

A: We would suggest starting with a software update on the following converter. This should allow the unit to be recognized and push a signal through. If this does not work we suggest getting in contact with Black Magic support team directly.

Q: 8. I have a DeckLink Mini Monitor 4K in my computer, and I use the HDMI output to monitor on a BenQ PV270 monitor and would like to use the micro converter 3G to convert the SDI output from the Decklink card into the HDMI input on a UHD TV. Would this converter work for that?

A: The Blackmagic Design Micro Converter SDI to HDMI 3G will only support 2K resolutions or lower, so if you are looking to output in a UHD format you would need a higher resolution converter, such as the Blackmagic Design Micro Converter SDI to HDMI 12G with Power Supply (B&H # BLMCSH12GPSU).

Q: 9. Does the mini converter add any delay? Signal path is Camera to SDI output to mini converter to HDMI output to monitor. Will the hdmi output on my monitor be in sync with the real time action in front of the camera?

A: The Blackmagic Design Micro Converter SDI to HDMI 3G will add less than a frame of delay, but HDMI monitors will have it's own delay in processing and displaying. You can expect a delay of about a couple of frames. Delay more than 2-3 frames will be noticeable.

Q: 10. Could I use this to plug in a Komodo to an Atem Mini?

A: Yes, you can use the Blackmagic Design Micro Converter SDI to connect the RED Komod to the ATEM Mini.
