The Tiffen 95mm Coarse Thread CC10R Red Filter is a color compensating (or color correction) filter for use when making color balance adjustments. A few quick turns of the screw on the clamp will securely attach the camera with mounting plate to the tripod head. For the system to be efficient there should be a mounting plate that stays in place on every camera body and long lens with a mounting foot. The generic plate that comes with the tripod will do the job. A somewhat more secure solution is to get an Arca Swiss style mounting plate custom designed specifically for your camera.
