The Tiffen 4 x 6" 3 Chocolate Soft-Edge Graduated Filter helps to specifically add a neutral, mellow brown coloration to skies and other bright areas of an image while allowing a portion of the image to remain neutrally colored. The filter's coloring is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged transition between the density and clear areas. The 3 color density provides more chocolate coloration than the 2 density filter.

This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. It measures 4 x 6" / 101.6 x 152.4mm.

Note: A horizontal orientation filter's line of transition runs parallel to the long side of the filter.

Provides a mellow brownish coloring to select areas of the image.

Graduated filter design keeps a portion of the image neutral, resulting in a more realistic look while allowing for the sky or other bright areas to take on the color of the density.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this lenswork with a canon 5D mark II?

A: If you order the lens with the EF Canon mount then yes. This lens comes manufactured with different mounts. I have used it with both my 5D and 7D.

Q: 2. You answered the question about the 1.4ext and auto focus but if I use MF on a tripod will the 1.4 and 2x canon extenders work properly using the 5D III. Thanks

A: The Canon extenders are only compatible with a select number of Canons pro level telephoto lenses; they are not compatible with lenses from other manufacturers such as the Tamron 150-600mm. You would need to use a third party teleconverter with this lens (Tamron, Kenko, Vivitar, etc.). Autofocus will not be supported, so you will need to manually focus the lens. http://bhpho.to/1pzmipP

Q: 3. Is this lens compatible with the Canon EOS400D?

Q: 4. This lens is good for wildlife photography ? with Nikon 7500

Q: 5. Will this work with Nikon D40x Camera ?

A: I don't have a Nikon D40x camera so I can't help you. It does work perfectly on mt D3x, fabulous lens !

Q: 6. Lowepro lens case13x32cm,part # LOLC 1332

A: I picked up a small Lowe backpack that works for carrying the lens and camera connected. I did pick up the actual carry bag that was made for the lens and it fits like a glove and is well constructed. Very happy to keep the lens in that when not in use. It does not have a large enough external pocket for a polarizer lens which i carry with the lens.

Q: 7. Is there a one to one comparison of this lens vs the Sigma 150-600mm f/5.6-6.3 somewhere on B&H (i.e. actual users who have experience with both lenses, rather than online detailed technical reviews)?

A: Not really, no. While each lens has a Reviews tab where customers who own the lens in question may post their review or experience with the lens, we do not have a side-by-side comparison from customers, and most people do not purchase both lenses. If you wish, you may purchase the lenses to do you own comparison, or you may use a rental website such as a href= http://lensrentels.com target= _blank lensrentels.com/a to see if they have both options available. Otherwise, you would have to use Google to search for reviews from users who have used both lenses, but we have no one spot on our website designed for this usage other than the Reviews tab on the lens' webpage.
