Designed to produce a uniquely diffuse look, the 62mm DUTO Filter from Hoya employs fine concentric lines that have been etched onto the filter surface to generate a distinctly soft image quality. These concentric lines produce an effect where the center of the image remains sharp while the image becomes gradually softer and more diffuse towards the edges. The filter is constructed from optical glass and is mounted within a durable, lightweight aluminum ring that has a hard anodized finish to guard against wear.

Q: 1. Focus lag / performance?I had originally planned on getting this lens when I sold my Tamron 200-500mm last year. The focus performance on that lens was not good and I was hoping the new Tamron would be a better performer. I've read a lot that in anything other than bright sunlight that the new Tamron does not perform well acquiring focus. What is your experience with this lens? are you happy with it? why or why not?I'll be using a D7200.I have been leaning toward the Sigma 150-600mm Sport version. I'm confident that it is well built and a great performer but its twice the price and a lot heavier. If you've used both lenses please let me know your thoughts.Thank you,Steve

A: I'm very happy with the Tamron 150-600. I use it on my D300 & D800 and it focus as fast as or faster than my Nikkor lenses. You will love it.

Q: 2. Are there still issues with this lens or had Tamron corrected those problems? I remember when it came out people complained about focusing issues.

A: From what I hear there is actually a new version of this lens. Having that said, I have the old version. Although it has its limitations, for example low light conditions are challenging, but not impossible if you adjust your settings for it, and extreme far away objects get rather soft. I've done some surprisingly nice images of wildlife at as little as 1/250 of a second. Not too shabby. My nikon 400mmlens hunts a lot more than this one. Although it hunts a little when I'm trying to get warblers. I think the only thing I would want to change on it is the location of the manual focus ring. (I like to manual focus)It's a pretty good lens overall and I'm very happy with mine.

Q: 3. what is the warranty on this lens?

A: The lens comes with a Tamron USA limited 6-year warranty which covers parts and labor due to manufacturer's defects.

Q: 4. what type of warranty comes with this?

A: Mine comes with a 6 yr. USA limited warranty.

Q: 5. can i use this lens for my rebel t5 and at the same time use for sony a6300?

A: no

Q: 6. Will the autofocus work on a Nikon Z mount?

A: Unfortunately no, the Tamron 150-600mm lens will not work in AF mode on a Z series camera .The G2 version would be needed instead (plus the Nikon FTZ2 adapter). Please take a look at the following link: https://bhpho.to/3JZ4nsr

Q: 7. Will this work for a Nikon D7100?

A: Yes, the Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD Lens for Nikon is fully compatible for use with the Nikon D7100 DSLR camera.

Q: 8. Does it work with Canon 5D?

A: Yes, it is compatible with the Canon 5D.

Q: 9. Can it be used with canon 2XIII extender

A: No, I found the Sigma 2x teleconverter worked.

Q: 10. Can the magnification be changed? Like if I want to see it at a 100x? And then change it to 480x?

A: The only way to change magnification is with a more powerful eyepiece ( lower mm) or by a 2X Barlow lens which will increase the magnification of your existing eyepiece by 2X
