Designed to produce a uniquely diffuse look, the 72mm DUTO Filter from Hoya employs fine concentric lines that have been etched onto the filter surface to generate a distinctly soft image quality. These concentric lines produce an effect where the center of the image remains sharp while the image becomes gradually softer and more diffuse towards the edges. The filter is constructed from optical glass and is mounted within a durable, lightweight aluminum ring that has a hard anodized finish to guard against wear.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. i have a nikon camera with a tamron lens sp150-600mm and it says lens not connected?

A: Sorry that I can't help your exact situation. I use this lens with Canon mount on my Canon 5D Mark II and have not experienced this problem.

Q: 2. Will this lens work on a D5000 ?

A: I use my D300s with this lens but just to try to help you I put it in the D5000 and it worked. Can't give you any specifics because I just took 4 pictures an the camera's bodys are different. It works and now it's the best time to get it for $799.00!

Q: 3. Is this lens compatible with the Nikon DF?

A: It should be. It works well with my D610, D5200, D5100 and even my old D200.

Q: 4. Will this work for a Nikon D7100?

A: Yes, the Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD Lens for Nikon is fully compatible for use with the Nikon D7100 DSLR camera.

Q: 5. Will all camera functions work properly if this lens is used with the Canon EOS Rebel T2i and the Canon Extender EF-1.4xll?

A: The Canon extenders are only compatible with a select number of Canons pro level telephoto lenses; they are not compatible with lenses from other manufacturers such as the Tamron 150-600mm. You would need to use a third party teleconverter with this lens (Tamron, Kenko, Vivitar, etc.). Autofocus will not be supported, so you will need to manually focus the lens. http://bhpho.to/1pzmipP

Q: 6. Is this lens compatible with Nikon D3500?

A: Yes, this lens is compatible with the Nikon 3500. Since that camera is a DX/APS-C, the smaller sensor will, in effect, magnify the image. This is a great advantage for people who need to photograph birds or sports.

Q: 7. Is this lens compatible with my antique Canon 10D?

A: Yes, it is compatible.

Q: 8. Can this system (Evolution alt az mount/drive) be used for long tracking astro-photo exposures such as would normally be done with a wedge or equatorial mount?

A: A wedge can be purchased for this telescope, effectively making it an equatorial mount. Without the wedge, the telescope is not suitable for long exposures because the tube rotates with respect to the sky as it tracks.

Q: 9. Does this telescope and mount stay fixed on the celestial object for astrophotography, similarto equatorial mount ?

A: Yes, this mount does track celestial objects and does a pretty good job. The problem is that it is an altitude-azimuth mount and so there is an effect called "field rotation" that will always be present. This is worse directly overhead and gets less pronounced as you go towards the horizon, but is always there. You can get around this somewhat by taking lots of short exposures and stacking them with software. I can take up to 15-second individual exposures and have combined these to make the equivalent of up to a 1-hour long exposure. Overall though, this is not a serious astrophotography mount in its stock form. You can buy a "wedge" to turn it into an equatorial mount and I've heard that works pretty well. I like the Evolution mount for its ease of use and setup. It's a great star party mount and I've had a lot of fun doing casual astrophotography of the brighter astronomical objects like the Messier Catalog. But if you want to take magazine quality images of an obscure nebula, you'll need an equatorial mount.

Q: 10. Is hard box included ?

A: This kit does have the JMI Telescopes Hard Carrying Case for 8" Celestron NexStar Evolution.
