Tiffen 2 X 3" 2 Yellow Soft-edge Graduated Filter (horizontal Orientation)
- Product Code: ga219353

The Tiffen 2 x 3" 2 Yellow Soft-Edge Graduated Filter helps to specifically add a warm, bright yellow coloration to skies and other bright areas of an image while allowing a portion of the image to remain neutrally colored. The filter's coloring is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged transition between the density and clear areas. The 2 color density provides less yellow coloration than the 3 density, but more than the 1 density filter.
This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. It measures 2 x 3" / 50.8 x 76.2mm.
Note: A horizontal orientation filter's line of transition runs parallel to the long side of the filter.

Q: 9. How good is this lens for action?
A: Depends on the type of action. I have found the VC (Vibration Control) and focus to be extremely quick and accurate. The captures are sharp for hand held as long as you use a good tight shooting position. For sports action I would use a monopod. But I am very happy with my lens.
Q: 10. I have read several reviews and am a bit confused. Will the lens work with either a D800 or D810 and a teleconverter and still be capable of auto focus?
A: You will find the performance to be a bit better on the Nikon D 810, however if you plan to use the lens-teleconverter combo to track moving subjects, then your results will drop dramatically. You would be much better off to use the DX mode on the D 800 or D 810 to take advantage of the crop factor since this gets you the effect of the teleconverter without lowering the amount of light hitting the sensor. The only drawback is now your skill needs to be higher in order to keep your subject in the center of the frame. This can be challenging when you have the whole frame to work with and becomes much more difficult in the crop mode. In short, there are tradeoffs with every choice you make so choose wisely....!
