The Tiffen 2 x 3" 3 Yellow Soft-Edge Graduated Filter helps to specifically add a warm, bright yellow coloration to skies and other bright areas of an image while allowing a portion of the image to remain neutrally colored. The filter's coloring is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged transition between the density and clear areas. The 3 color density provides less yellow coloration than the 4 density, but more than the 2 density filter.

This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. It measures 2 x 3" / 50.8 x 76.2mm.

Note: A horizontal orientation filter's line of transition runs parallel to the long side of the filter.

Q: 1. Trying to decide which telephoto lens under $1500 to buy for my canon? I have a 24-105mm lens which is a pretty good all around lens but I want something with a little more reach to hopefully take on a safari one day and an Alaska trip. Ideally I would love a canon ef 100-400 but that's a little out of my price range. Is the Tamron 150-600 the way to go?

A: Hi, I have had my Tamron 150-600 for a while now, not used it a ton but I have taken a few 1000 pics with it. Mainly sports photography (windsurfing and kitesurfing, I use a solid tripod with a Benro Gimbal mount (the kind where the camera becomes weightless and you can move it with your fingertip) it is great!. Most the pics are taken in good lighting conditions so I can really use the full potential of the zoom. I use a canon 7D with it so I get a full 840mm out of it (1,4 factor with the smaller censor). For the money it is a great lens, I have tried the old 100-400 and to be honest I use the last 200mm up to 600 more often than anything. It is quite the difference in how close I can snap pics with full details in the face from a distance far far away. For a safari trip I am sure the lens will do even better as your objects most likley will be sitting still more or less, at least compare to a windsurfer or kitesurfer who is moving across water... Have fun on your safari, and bring the 150-600 and you won't be dissapointed.

A: I have both and sharpness may be a tad better on the 100-400 MKII, but I prefer the extra reach of the 150-600. AF is about the same.

A: It works great for video. I use it to video surfing everyday. I am a surf coach and use it for Video analysis. It is a must for me since the surfers are very far out at some of the breaks.

A: Yes, this lens is fully compatible with the Nikon D5000 camera. It has the required built-in motor to drive the autofocus.

A: From what I hear there is actually a new version of this lens. Having that said, I have the old version. Although it has its limitations, for example low light conditions are challenging, but not impossible if you adjust your settings for it, and extreme far away objects get rather soft. I've done some surprisingly nice images of wildlife at as little as 1/250 of a second. Not too shabby.My nikon 400mmlens hunts a lot more than this one. Although it hunts a little when I'm trying to get warblers. I think the only thing I would want to change on it is the location of the manual focus ring. (I like to manual focus)It's a pretty good lens overall and I'm very happy with mine.

Q: 8. Focus lag / performance?I had originally planned on getting this lens when I sold my Tamron 200-500mm last year. The focus performance on that lens was not good and I was hoping the new Tamron would be a better performer. A: I'm very happy with the Tamron 150-600. I use it on my D300 & D800 and it focus as fast as or faster than my Nikkor lenses. You will love it.

Q: 9. Just wondering. GH5 + 0.71 Metabones adapter work? Were talking 2x crop making this 300-1200mm f3.5/4.5. In body stabilization + Tamrons lens stabilization would make this the best handled combo ever made?

A: I shoot with Nikon but I dont think this lens accepts any extenders. I checked Tamrons website when I was considering adding an extender and none were listed for this lens.
