The Tiffen 4 x 5" 1/4 Coral Soft-Edge Graduated Filter helps to specifically add a warm, pale orange coloration to skies and other bright areas of an image while allowing a portion of the image to remain neutrally colored. The filter's coloring is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged transition between the density and clear areas. The 1/4 color density provides less coral coloration than the 1/2 density, but more than the 1/8 density filter.

This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. It measures 4 x 5" / 101.6 x 127mm.

Note: A vertical orientation filter's line of transition runs parallel to the short side of the filter.

Provides a natural-looking warming effect to select areas of the image.

Graduated filter design keeps a portion of the image neutral, resulting in a more realistic look while allowing for the sky or other bright areas to take on the color of the density.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I'm sure after reading that this lens is compatible with all canon cameras mentioned. Is this lens compatible with rebel T6 1300D (eos)?

A: I'm not sure about the T6, but I have a T3i and it works wonderfully with it.

Q: 2. Can it be used with canon 2XIII extender

A: No, I found the Sigma 2x teleconverter worked.

Q: 3. How about the quality of lense as compared to g2

A: The quality of the glass in the SP 150-60mm Di VC USD is phenomenal. Mine is tack sharp to the point that I am hand holding it while shooting birds in the Spring. The only differences that I see are that they've improved the auto focus a little and weather sealed the unit better. I've gotten my lens a little wet, (not drenched), and it fared just fine. I've found zero issues with the auto focus. I'd probably save the money and get the cheaper lens as I don't see enough to make me spend the extra $$ to get the generation 2 lens.

Q: 4. Understand the tripod collar for the 150-600 has a 3/8 screw. Would you know what plate is available for use with an Induro tripod Model AKB2 - believe it has a BH2M type ballhead? Thanks.

A: Sorry, but I have no clue. Someone at B&H might be able to give you the answer.Mark

Q: 5. I just purchased the Tamron 150-600 mm lens with the Lowepro case 11x26 which was recommended here. However, the lens is almost 2 longer than the case. The lens is 11.5 long without the hood and the inside length of the case is 9.5 . I also could not get the lens mount bracket into the case (case too narrow). What would be a better fit for this lens?

A: The OP/TECH USA Snoot Boot Wide Body (XXL) will be a better fit, as it is 12 in length. It is made out of neoprene, so it will be able to fit the lens comfortably.

Q: 6. Just wondering. GH5 + 0.71 Metabones adapter work? Were talking 2x crop making this 300-1200mm f3.5/4.5. In body stabilization + Tamrons lens stabilization would make this the best handled combo ever made?

A: I shoot with Nikon but I dont think this lens accepts any extenders. I checked Tamrons website when I was considering adding an extender and none were listed for this lens.

Q: 7. what type of warranty comes with this?

A: Mine comes with a 6 yr. USA limited warranty.

Q: 8. How good is this lens for action?

A: Depends on the type of action. I have found the VC (Vibration Control) and focus to be extremely quick and accurate. The captures are sharp for hand held as long as you use a good tight shooting position. For sports action I would use a monopod. But I am very happy with my lens.

Q: 9. On a D7100 is this lens compatible with Kenco 1.4 teleconverter

A: You could use a Kenko 1.4X teleconverter with the Tamron 150-600mm lens on the D7100, though you might lose autofocus.

Q: 10. Can only the telescope be purchased without the kit?

A: The Celestron NexStar Evolution 8 203mm f/10 Schmidt-Cassegrain GoTo Telescope BH #CENSE8 • MFR #12091 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1046796-REG/celestron_12091_nexstar_evolution_8_telescope.html Is only sold as a complete set; Optical Tube Assembly (OTA) Mount Goto handheld computer Tripod
