The Tiffen 2 x 3" 1/2 Coral Soft-Edge Graduated Filter helps to specifically add a warm, pale orange coloration to skies and other bright areas of an image while allowing a portion of the image to remain neutrally colored. The filter's coloring is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged transition between the density and clear areas. The 1/2 color density provides less coral coloration than the 1 density, but more than the 1/4 density filter.

This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. It measures 2 x 3" / 50.8 x 76.2mm.

Note: A horizontal orientation filter's line of transition runs parallel to the long side of the filter.

Provides a natural-looking warming effect to select areas of the image.

Graduated filter design keeps a portion of the image neutral, resulting in a more realistic look while allowing for the sky or other bright areas to take on the color of the density.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. On a D7100 is this lens compatible with Kenco 1.4 teleconverter

A: You could use a Kenko 1.4X teleconverter with the Tamron 150-600mm lens on the D7100, though you might lose autofocus.

Q: 2. How good is this lens for action?

A: Depends on the type of action. I have found the VC (Vibration Control) and focus to be extremely quick and accurate. The captures are sharp for hand held as long as you use a good tight shooting position. For sports action I would use a monopod. But I am very happy with my lens.

Q: 3. I just purchased the Tamron 150-600 mm lens with the Lowepro case 11x26 which was recommended here. However, the lens is almost 2 longer than the case. The lens is 11.5 long without the hood and the inside length of the case is 9.5 . I also could not get the lens mount bracket into the case (case too narrow). What would be a better fit for this lens?

A: The OP/TECH USA Snoot Boot Wide Body (XXL) will be a better fit, as it is 12 in length. It is made out of neoprene, so it will be able to fit the lens comfortably.

Q: 4. I'm sure after reading that this lens is compatible with all canon cameras mentioned. Is this lens compatible with rebel T6 1300D (eos)?

A: I'm not sure about the T6, but I have a T3i and it works wonderfully with it.

Q: 5. Trying to decide which telephoto lens under $1500 to buy for my canon? I have a 24-105mm lens which is a pretty good all around lens but I want something with a little more reach to hopefully take on a safari one day and an Alaska trip. Ideally I would love a canon ef 100-400 but that's a little out of my price range. Is the Tamron 150-600 the way to go?

A: Rafael,Sorry about the late response.I use my Tamron 150-600 almost all the time. I usually set my mm at about 590 mm and get my best results at f7.1 with as much natural light as possible. When shooting eagles along a river I use a Tripod with a gimbal but also shoot a lot handheld while hiking with higher shutter speeds.Regards,Tom

Q: 6. Will this work with Nikon D40x Camera ?

A: I don't have a Nikon D40x camera so I can't help you. It does work perfectly on mt D3x, fabulous lens !

Q: 7. Will the LowePro 11x26 lens case hold the Tamron 150-600 with the lens hood attached?

A: yes

Q: 8. Can it be used with canon 2XIII extender

A: No, I found the Sigma 2x teleconverter worked.

Q: 9. Just wondering. GH5 + 0.71 Metabones adapter work? Were talking 2x crop making this 300-1200mm f3.5/4.5. In body stabilization + Tamrons lens stabilization would make this the best handled combo ever made?

A: I shoot with Nikon but I dont think this lens accepts any extenders. I checked Tamrons website when I was considering adding an extender and none were listed for this lens.

Q: 10. what type of warranty comes with this?

A: Mine comes with a 6 yr. USA limited warranty.
