Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will a sand bag help increase the weight limit? If not what's my next best option for approximately the same price?

A: The sand bag will help with keeping the stand balanced and from tipping over, but it will not increase the structural support. That being said, I chose this stand over the Manfrotto of the same design because the boom angle adjuster is significantly stronger.

Q: 2. I will buy 2, you can send them in one package?

A: For sales inquiries, please email us directly at sales@a href= http://bhphoto.com target= _blank bhphoto.com/a in order for us to best assist you.

Q: 3. what is the maximum weight it can hold ? I am looking to mount an AD200, S-Bracket, and a 37 . Godox octa

A: The item does not have a rated spec. It was designed to work with an AD360 which is about the size of the AD200. The 37" might be pushing it a little.

Q: 4. What country is this made in?

A: The country of origin for this item is Italy.

Q: 5. How much weight can this arm support at its minimum extension?

A: I typically use this boom with Bowens monolights and anything up to a 40x60 softbox, which combo weighs around 12 lbs. I would typically have between 4 and 5 feet boom length from the fulcrum point to the head (implying around 20 - 30 of extension of the internal bar), with around 18 counterbalancing length on the other end and between 20 - 25 lbs hanging from the hook (I would use an Impact CT40 MB turtle stand or similar for the base). There's almost no deflection in the boom in those circumstances and the whole rig is rock solid. I would fairly confidently suggest that with less extension than I use, the fulcrum point more centered and with similar counterbalancing weights, you shouldn't have any problems. The rig will manage higher weight with ease - it's a very solid boom

Q: 6. *Black or chrome?

A: Which do you prefer? Because that's what it's going to come down to.Chrome may reflect light back into a set. Though I've yet to see that happen.Black possibly could retain more heat is used outdoors.Chrome generally is easier to see on a dark set.Black might be considered cooler looking than chrome. My chrome D600 works perfectly well with my decades old C-stands. So yeah, pick the one you like.

Q: 7. How much weight can the avenger d600 counterweight hook hold?

A: Everything about the d600 is well engineered and made out of quality materials. Although I don't use the hook, I do beat the heck out of the arm with a heavy strobe head and a 48 by 48 softbox and it shows no sign of strain. This is a top quality product and this 30 year pro loves it.

Q: 8. Will this enable me to mount my nano shield on any boom pole?

A: Yes, but keep in mind the PCS-Boom Quick Release System supports 3/8" threads so for any larger threaded boom poles you will need an adapter.

Q: 9. Could this portable light boom be used for other Godox flashes or only for the Witstro?

A: This pole can also be used for shoe mount type flashes made by Godox and other brands.

Q: 10. Are there any portable stands this boom can work with? All the recommended ones seem to be very heavy and not for on location shooting. Thanks.

A: I would not recommend it. This is designed to be a long lasting inside boom and stand. The boom arm is not light and if you put it on an aluminium stand, my guess is the stand would bend. I would suggest finding an aluminium stand and boom arm.
