A: The BlackRapid Tripod Plate 50 Quick-Release Plate is Arca-Type Compatible, as is the Gitzo GH1382TQD ball head, so they should work together. However, you may have to remove the screw stops in the bottom of the Quick-Release Plate. I use my BlackRapid Quick-Release Plate on a Manfrotto MH054M0-Q2 ball head that I retrofit with a Manfrotto Q6 Top Lock Quick Release Adapter for Arca-Type base plates. I had to remove the safety stop screws in the BlackRapid Plate. The Manfrotto head has a built-in spring-loaded pin that serves as a safety stop, so I did not need the stops in the Quick-Release Plate in my case. I don't know about how the Gitzo head will handle the safety stop issue.
