This 43mm #590/090 Red Light MRC Basic Filter from B+W can be used to increase image contrast when using black-and-white film. When using this filter, green and blue subjects are reproduced in darker shades of gray than if a filter was not used. Simultaneously, yellow, orange, and red subjects are rendered in lighter shades of gray. Landscape photos show greatly enhanced views into the distance and higher tonal separation in photos of objects that are blue and green render very dark. When shooting landscapes, shades of green foliage can be more differentiated, and this filter can also minimize the haze caused by the bluish cast of daylight.

B+W MRC Basic filters are made with the exclusive Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) nano premium coating technology. This high-quality broadband coating is applied on both sides and enhances the optical imaging properties, allowing uniform and increased transmittance across the entire light spectrum to be achieved, with minimal physically induced remaining reflection. The nano all-around protection on the filter glass also ensures increased scratch resistance and extremely fast, easy cleaning, providing a long filter life. The slim filter ring design is compatible with wide-angle lenses with an equivalent width of a 17mm full-frame lens. The top knurling is redesigned for enhanced gripping.

Q: 1. What AC power adapter can I use for this light? I tested the Neewer 100-240V, 50/60hz power adapter, but it doesn't power on. The status flashes "LO" on the display. Has anyone used an AC power adapter for this, and if so, could you please turn me to the model to buy? Thanks!!

A: The Ikan 15v AC/DC adapter, B&H# IKAC15V24ATA is a great power adapter that is compatible with this light. https://bhpho.to/3ufK8MQ

Q: 2. Can the light be mounted in both orientations?

A: Yes, the Genaray Ultra-Thin 288 Light can be mounted in a vertical and horizontal position. If you select the configuration without the batteries, there are photos that demonstrate the light in different mounting positions.

Q: 3. Will this light flicker when recording a higher frame rates 60fps +?

A: We are not aware of any light flickering issues with this product.

Q: 4. Does it come with with the batteries or just the charger?

A: This light comes with Two L-Series Batteries and a Charger.

Q: 5. How tall is the top stud from the top of the thread to the shoulder at the knurled portion? I would like to mount a studio strobe on it. The hole in its mount is 1.385 inches deep. I would like the mount to rest on the shoulder of the top stud instead of on top of the thread.

A: For this inquiry, please e-mail us directly to stagelighting@bhphotovideo.com. Thank you.

Q: 6. Do the lights retain their last brightness and color temp. if you use the remote to turn them off and on? And will a single remote power on and off the lights at one time or do you have to power on and off each light.

A: Yes. They retain. LEDs generally do not fade over time.

Q: 7. what is its size when folded?

A: It is just a smidge over 34 inches.

Q: 8. One other question. I need to be able to lower my PLM for newborn photography. Will this do that?

A: You can use this The Manfrotto 366B Basic Black Light Stand - 6.4' (1.9m) B&H # MA366B MFR # 366B, to lower your parabolic umbrella. The lowest point on the stand is 33 so you could use B&H # (this item) MA366B for newborn photography.

Q: 9. How long do the batteries that come with this light last with light on full power?

A: The batteries lasted quite a while, definitely through my 2 he shoot. However I wasn't at full power. Iike this light a lot

Q: 10. If I plug this light into a power supply using the AC adapter, and leave the light in the ON position, will the turn off and then back on when I flip the switch on the power strip? I want to hang these from a ceiling and do not want to have to climb up on a ladder every time.

A: Yes, that would work fine.
