Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I just bought a Krasnogorsk-3, will this film work for it or do I need double perforated?

A: That camera is listed as using both Single and Double sprocket film. So the Kodak Vision3 250D should be fine.

Q: 2. Is this same Super 16? For Rollei 16S camera (spy camera)

A: No, it is not. The Fujifilm Neopan 100 Acros II Black and White Negative Film (120 Roll Film) is 120 film designed for use in larger medium format cameras.

Q: 3. Can this be used for super 16mm?

A: Yes, all Kodak 16mm stocks that are 'perforated one edge (winding B)' have sprocket holes on only one side, and so are made for the super 16 format. Also, on a Kodak film canister, look for part of the code number of the film that says '1R', meaning one row of perforations, or super 16. Only older stocks or special order stocks for standard 16mm are '2R', meaning two rows of perforations and you can only use 2R stocks in a standard 16mm camera. Good luck!

Q: 4. Does B&H develop 16mm movie film?

A: No, they don't. They just sell film and chemicals in case that you want to develop your own film. Not an easy thing to do with motion picture. There are some labs that can process or develop film for you in the US. Video & FIlm Solutions is the one that I use, Cinelab, Spectra, Yale Film and Video and Fotokem are just a few. Most of them offer scanning as well. So you can have a digital file of your film and continue your post processing in the digital arena. Editing, color correction or grading and export it to the desired format. Good luck with your project. Film is just beautiful and worth using it.

Q: 5. Does it come on a loading spool ?

A: Yessir! Crack open the container, load it, and fire away!

Q: 6. How about the perforation? single or double?

A: The ORWO NC400 ISO 16mm Color Film (100') is single perf film stock.

Q: 7. When does this film generally expire? Also where on the actual can/box does it say the expiration date because I've looked on both 100' daylight spools and 400' mags and can't find any expiration date.

A: There is no expiration date. If kept under the proper conditions it should not expire either.

Q: 8. Will this film work in a Eumig C16 movie camera and where can I get extra spools?

A: No, the Eumig C16 can only handle 100' rolls.

Q: 9. So this is 250 ISO?

A: This film has an ISO/ASA of 250 when shooting in daylight conditions but an ISO/ASA of 64 when shooting in tungsten lighting conditions along with an 80A filter.

Q: 10. Does this come on a daylight spool?

A: Yes, the ORWO NC500 16mm Color Film (100') comes on a daylight spool.
