This 40.5mm 695/092 IR Dark Red MRC Basic Filter from B+W is a moderate strength infrared filter that does not block the complete visible light spectrum, enabling image recording with visible and invisible IR components. The black and white contrasts are not as high as those produced by black-red IR filters.

The filter is made of precision German optical glass, each side featuring 7 layers of Broadband coating for high contrast pictures with minimal residual reflection and uniform light transmission. The brass filter ring features an enhanced knurling pattern for improved grip and a special functional coating for smooth mounting and dismounting. The ring features front threads, and its low-profile design makes it suitable for use with wide-angle lenses.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Work with Pen -F?

A: The Vello IRM-O IR Remote Mini for Select Olympus Cameras is not compatible with the Olympus PEN F camera.

Q: 2. I have a Csnon 580 EXII. If I buy this. Should I also buy the Vello receiver? Or It just work alone with the camera and the flash? Thanks!

A: This transmitter can fire a 580EX II optically, as long as the two are in line of sight with one another.

Q: 3. Will this work with Neo Rotolight?

A: According to Rotolight, the Neo 2 does not have IR triggering capabilities, so the Vello FWIRC-C FreeWave IR TTL Flash Commander for Canon will not work with it. Since the Neo 2 has a sync port, it can be connected to and triggered by multiple brands of [radio] transmitter/receiver sets using a PC sync to 3.5mm cable.

Q: 4. Will this work with the sb200 flashes?

A: This commander can work with the Nikon SB-R200 flash and other Nikon flashes within the i-TTL system.

Q: 5. Can I REMOTELY trigger both the shutter on my Canon R6 and fire the Canon 430EXII flash in Manual mode?

A: As long as you have a separate method to trigger your camera, you will trigger a flash setup using the Vello FWIRC-C FreeWave IR TTL Flash Commander for Canon. The Shutter release remote triggers the camera and the radio trigger in the hot shoe of the Canon R6 will fire any flashes that it has been connected to via the line of site ETTL communication method.

Q: 6. Does this work with the Nikon SB 28 DX?Do I have to attach anything to the Nikon Flash or does it receive signals from the remote automatically by IR out of the box?Do I understand it correctly that the unit will control my flash remotely including power control, TTL and also in Manual mode?

A: Since the Nikon SB-28DX is not compatible with the Nikon CLS system nor does it use i-TTL communication, it would not be compatible with this product. When using the product with a Nikon i-TTL compatible flash, you would need to set the flash to remote mode in order to control the power, TTL, and to use the flash in manual mode.

Q: 7. Does this work with a very old Canon 420EX ?

A: I use it to trigger the 550EX and the 420Ex.

Q: 8. Will it work with the Canon 430EX speedlite? The model before EX II.

A: Yes it does

Q: 9. Can this unit be used on a Nikon D850 to trigger multiple SB600'd off camera?

A: Yes, this transmitter can be placed on the D850 to trigger multiple SB-600 flashes placed off camera in line of sight only.

Q: 10. Does it work with Yongnuo Speedlite YN600EX-RT?

A: Technically it should work. The YN600ex-RT has an Infrared receiver. But the manufactures have not tested there products together.
