The yellow housing is constructed from lightweight, durable EXL resin, with a polycarbonate lens and a spring-loaded ABS pocket clip. Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is it mainly intended as a carry-on or would this be durable enough to pack equipment in that will be checked on as well such as mono heads?

A: Terri I purchased this case about four years ago and I have flown with it with many airlines. I generally use it to put it overhead in the airplane but it is so secure that I would be confident to checking it in. The foam really packs it tight so nothing is moving around. You will actually custom cut it out for your own equipment so it will be a perfect fit. Hope this helps

Q: 2. Is the slide out handle long enough for a tall person? It's a pain hunching over while bulling a carry-on case. About the same as your run-of-the-mill roller bag? thx

A: Yes

Q: 3. 1 ANSWERS Does this case fit an FS7 ?

A: Yes this would fit Sony FS7

Q: 4. Can the foam be completely removed?

A: Yes.

Q: 5. Does this come with the Kaizen or the Pick & Pluck foam?

A: The one I ordered came with pick and pluck foam.

Q: 6. Does this fit as a carryon for Regional flights in the US?

A: Yes, the Pelican Carry-On Case with Trekpak Divider System (Black, Special 50th Anniversary Edition) does qualify as a carry-on for most major airlines.

Q: 7. I like to carry (2) 1dx bodies, Canon lenses 70-200 2.8, 28-70 2.8, 300 2.8 and maybe 1 speed light. Will all this fit?

A: Yes, you may fit your current Canon gear into this Pelican 1510TP.

Q: 8. Will this case hold two DSLR cameras with lenses (Canon 6D w/24-105mm & Sony a77 w/18-135mm),both cameras with vert. grips also?

A: Absolutely, this case with the pick out foam is great! Super deep, and easy to make shapes that contour to different heights of a camera. I use mine for a BlackMagic CC 2.5k (which is much larger than a dslr), with a big Bescor battery pack and chargers. A Canon 7d with batteries and charger, a Tascam dr-60 (audio recorder), 50mm prime, 24-105mm (both Canon), a small on cam light with batteries, and all my cards for both cameras.Really a necessity in the video/photo field. I was told when I bought mine that i could kick it down a flight of stairs filled with gear, without worrying about anything breaking. Mine for three years looks brand new after taking a whole heap of beating!

Q: 9. Will this case hold a DNP DS40 and the accessories for it or am i looking for another pelican case?

A: You may want to go with the Pelican 1560 case for a better fit.

Q: 10. What are the pros/cons of the TrekPak vs. the padded dividers?

A: 90% of reviewers of the Pelican 1510 Carry On Case with Yellow and Black Divider Set (Black) are very happy with the TrekPak dividers. A few are less happy and prefer the padded dividers.
