Tight, punchy, powerful samples—one of the library's defining features. This library not only avoids the harmless pew-pew cliché—it can sound absolutely aggressive and terrifying.

As with most BOOM Library collections, this library of future weapons sounds is designed to get the job done just by layering, merging, and fading samples together. The CONSTRUCTION KIT offers all source recordings from real-world objects as well as synthesized effects.

The amount of careful sound processing that went into this library gives the future weapon sounds their distinct futuristic quality. Especially shot attacks, reloads and flybys will whisk you away into worlds several years, decades or eons away.

The highly versatile CONSTRUCTION KIT contains enough sounds for general sci-fi sound design—Foley, mechanics, synthesized beams, impacts, servos, shots, whooshes, tails, transients.

You can search by the following keywords: Alien, Artificial, Burst, Buzz, Caliber, Clack, Crackle, Doppler, Electronic, Engine, Exhaust, Explosion, Fireworks, Focused, Force, Futuristic, Glitch, Grenade, Hydraulic, Laser, Lock, Mechanism, Metal, Missile, Motor, Particles, Plasma, Projectile, Recharge, Revolver, Rifle, Robot, Rumble, Saw, Scaffold, Screwdriver, Shaver, Silencer, Siren, Synthetic, Tape, Titanium, Toothbrush, Toy, Train, Trigger

A CONSTRUCTION KIT generally contains thousands of sounds provided as raw as possible, processed as needed for a specific topic, and perfectly organized to make it easy for you to use them. Carefully selected, those sounds give you all the freedom and possibilities you need to design your own sounds from scratch within the given topic. For some topics, it is difficult to provide only recordings. So, you will find some preprocessed or synthesizer-based sounds in those collections as well, but still only basic material, since BOOM doesn't want to offer sounds that are compressed to the maximum or similarly mutated. After all, the CONSTRUCTION KIT serves as such for BOOM, namely in the following process of creating the respective DESIGNED collection.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will Sony offer a new full-frame compact camera with a Zeiss 2470?

A: While Sony has not told us anything, I would have to say I really doubt they will put a 24-70mm fast f/2.8 on this camera. Why? Because the lens would be huge and completely negate the main purpose this camera, to wit, be a extremely high image quality camera in a very small package.

Q: 2. What is the maximum video recording time limit? (in any mode)

A: Maximum internal recording limit is 29 minutes.

Q: 3. Is there a case which will protect the camera from dust, but allow me to shoot? A silicone case would be great, but can't find one.

A: Unfortunately, here is no silicone case for this. We would suggest that you use either of these solutions. LensCoat BodyBag 4/3 (Black) B&H # LELCBB43BK and OP/TECH USA Digital D-Series: D-Shortie (Black) B&H # OPDDSPBQ.

Q: 4. In the pictures above from Sony the guy is pressing the camera against his phone. Why?

A: This is demonstrating the NFC (Near Field Communication) ability of the camera's built in WiFi to transfer files to an Android device.

Q: 5. Is this a mirrorless camera?

A: The Sony Cyber-shot RX1R II is considered a point and shoot, not a mirrorless camera. The reason is the Sony Cyber-shot RX1R II has a built-in Zeiss Sonnar T* 35mm f/2 Lens. Mirrorless cameras allow you to change the lens.

Q: 6. What is the range of this camera...35 to what mm lens?

A: Hi Ronald, the lens on the RX1R II is a fixed focal length of 35mm.

Q: 7. is it possible to record video longer than 30 minutes?

A: Yes, it is possible to record video longer than 29 minutes and 59 seconds with the Sony s6500. All you have to do is use an external recorder. Sorry, but the camera cannot do longer than 29/59 by itself. Here is a nice kit made by B&H you might consider. Atomos Ninja V 5" 4K HDMI Recording Monitor Kit with 2 L-Series Batteries, Charger, and Power Adapter B&H # ATNINJAVP (B&H Kit)

Q: 8. Does this camera have any weather proofing?

A: Sony does not describe this camera as weather-sealed. I would not venture out into bad weather without being careful. It is extremely well-made with tight tolerances but lacks the necessary rubber grommets and O-ring seals that would keep rain (or seriously high condensation) from getting inside the Zeiss lens barrel (biggest concern) or under the many exterior control rings thereby possibly exposing the electronics to moisture.

Q: 9. Is this camera made in Japan?

A: Yes. The country of Origin for this camera is Japan

Q: 10. How large (in megabytes) is an individual, typical RAW image file generated by this camera?

A: The RAW file with compression is 42MB. With compression turned off it's 85MB. When you turn that file into a tiff, for example, the file is around 120 MB. I use the camera with the RAW lossless compression turned on. So far, I dont feel I need to add the slight amount of sharpness that the uncompressed file enables.

The 600 mm optical zoom allows me to take hand-held photos with no blurred images. Really great for bird photography.

The high quality image generating capabilities of this camera have surpassed all my hopes and expectations. I use the camera for bird watching and have left my binoculars at home the last three birding trips. I use the camera like binoculars but I can zoom in wide to find birds, then zoom out. The image with max zoom and image stabilization is far clearer than using binoculars. The Rx10 gives extremely sharp, high contrast, high color definition pictures. The cameras processor keeps detail in the white feathers and the black feathers showing because of the cameras wide dynamic range.

I have posted several pictures I took shortly after receiving the camera from B& H. The below 3 pictures came out better than any I have taken. Two will definitely go to the Indiana State fair photo competition this year.

A note, there is a wheel on the side of the viewfinder that adjusts for your eye so that the when the image and the setting print in the window is sharp, the image the eye sees is sharp. The adjustment wheel can get pushed around and the image may not appear as sharp as it is. Check this diopter adjustment wheel by watching the print on the screen. If somebody else tries your camera make sure they set this adjustment for their own eyesight correction *diopter adjustment. I have seen many buyers looking through different cameras at a camera store without first adjusting the sharpness with the wheal. Before you send in your comments on the camera, set this adjustment!

I recently upgraded from a Canon super zoom point and shot to the RX10 IV. I plan on using the camera for birding and travel. I didn't want to go with a DSLR as I don't want to carry a lot of lenses with me. The Sony gives me the ability to go from 24mm to 600mm. While that isn't as much zoom as my previous camera, the increase in picture quality is well worth it. The Sony menu, while extensive, is not as intuitive as my previous Canon but with an on line guide, has been pretty easy to go through and understand. So far I have very happy with the camera. In addition, B&H has been great to deal with. It has been awhile since I purchased anything from them, but they are as great as ever.

Being a Canon user for years I will say it is a work in progress but even with what I have read and done so far, just a month, the photos are great especially for a point and shoot. I love this camera and I am not sorry I gave up my heavy Canon and all the lenses.

Since I took delivery of the camera about a week ago, the weather has been appalling for this fairweather photographer. So, apart from a few kitty snaps, I haven't yet put this camera through its paces. But I have taken it out several times to learn the controls.
This is no lightweight pocket camera! It's a big beast of a compact. And it needs to be in order comply with the laws of physics. That magnificent Zeiss glass gathers plenty of light and faithfully focuses it on a well-proven 1-inch sensor. Quite a feat, considering it allows F4 at maximum zoom. The whole camera feels like a high-quality piece of kit. Solid!
I'm no stranger to the Sony RX-10 series, having owned the original RX -10 for several years. That camera has never failed me and is still going strong. I welcome this new camera into my life, and I feel sure it will be a constant companion.

I just took this camera to Maine for a shoot and I am especially pleased with the results. It's basically all anyone needs without having to carry a lot of lenses around. The pictures are snappy sharp and can be enlarged to quite a big size. I've owned other bridge cameras and have been disappointed with picture quality but not with this guy. It performs like a champion. I think I've got a friend for life.
