In The Prop Building Guidebook, author Eric Hart demonstrated how to cut, glue, sculpt, and bend raw materials to build props. Now in The Prop Effects Guidebook, he shows us how to connect and assemble components and parts to make those props light up, explode, make noise, and bleed. It delves into the world of electricity, pneumatics, liquids, and mechanical effects to teach you how to make your props perform magic in front of a live audience. The book is complemented by a companion website featuring videos of how to create individual prop special effects.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What are the inside and outside diameters?

A: outside diameter is 6"

Q: 2. Will this fit into a Godox softbox mount that came with a Bowens adaptor? The side that goes to the softbox mount is 5 ⅝"

A: This ring is designed for collapsible softboxes like this one https://bhpho.to/34tchTb.

Q: 3. Would this work with the ML30BI? a little confused on the answer about godox mount

A: The Godox Softbox for ML30 and ML30Bi LED Lights comes with a speed ring to fit the ML30Bi.

Q: 4. What is the outer ring diameter?

A: 142mm/5.59" inch. The lip is 3.30mm/.129" inch This was to big and did not fit my speed ring where the insert diameter on that one measures to 139-140mm. Although it states Bowens S, it does fit the mount on my strobe. There are slight tolerances between some of the Bowens accessories so this may or may not fit exactly.

Q: 5. I do not find the output info of the max current and watts, neither the charging input volts and current. Does anybody know it?

A: Sokani V-Mount Battery Adapter for X60 Lights is specifically made to use NP-F970/F750/F550 type batteries. The manufacture does not list any other specifics.

Q: 6. Any recommendations on how far apart to install the stationary rails?

A: The distance between the stationary rails would depend on how wide the ceiling is going to be.

Q: 7. Would this fit on a Aputure C300d?

A: Yes this ring is compatible with lampheads that use a Bowens S mount attachment like the Aputure C300D.

Q: 8. Will this ring work with my Godox SL60?

A: Yes, the SL60 is a Bowens mount.

Q: 9. Do I need "Godox S2 Speedlite Bracket for Bowens" to use the Godox Softbox SF3030 for the AD100 Pro?

A: No, the Godox Softbox for ML30 and ML30Bi LED Lights (B&H# GOMLSF3030) is not able to be used with the AD100 Pro with any adapter available at this time (February, 2022). That is because the soft box requires the light to have a proprietary Godox mini mount -- not a Bowens mount.

Q: 10. What is the diameter? And, is the mount type A or type B?

A: This is for the Pulso mount. The adapter is designed to work with a specific unit and its exact measurements are not published.

This is probably the best mouse I have ever used! It's slim and lightweight. The multi touch surface just gives you a whole other experience with a computer because you can control much more with this mouse than you can a regular mouse. The only bad thing about it is that it makes batteries dead very quickly. I suggest buying the rechargeable batteries from Apple if you are going to be using this mouse a lot. Overall, I think this mouse is worth the price!

I use the mouse for several hours each day and it feels great in the hand. I have had the mouse for about 3 weeks now and it is the best mouse I have ever used. The ability to use features of Lion OSX with the mouse its fantastic. Rubber band page scrolling, right clicking, double click, double two finger tap gives you the expose (best feature). As for battery life, I have been using the mouse for roughly 6-8 hours per day for the last three weeks and turning the mouse off at night and the battery life is still at 100%. Bluetooth has stayed solid, when I wake my computer back up it automatically connects to the mouse if it's turned on. A+, definitely worth the money for the mouse.

I absolutely love my new Magic Mouse! It was not difficult to adjust to at all. I love the way it works, compared to the Mighty Mouse I had previously. Great purchase!
