Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Two questions. One, does this have power output high enough to power an Atomos Ninja Flame? Two, can you charge it while it is in use, say while the camera is on a tripod during a shoot?

A: There should be no issues in powering the Atomos Ninja Flame with this, although we would not recommend charging this while in use.

Q: 2. Can you preset camera moves, i.e. zooms with speed control?

A: When using the AWRP60 Panasonic remote camera controller you can save multiple presets for camera position that do incorporate zoom and positron of the camera. You can also set a preset movement speed.

Q: 3. By remote does this mean it will control PTZ cameras over the internet from a separate location? Does it control Panasonic UE40?

A: The Panasonic AW-RP60 Remote Camera Controller is a remote controller is normally used on your LAN in studio. We have not seen scenarios where this remote was being used outside of the studio, but it should be possible. Also, yes it would work with the Panasonic UE40.

Q: 4. Is there any other compatible quick-release plate that has both the 1/4" and 3/8" screws for Komodo to prevent twisting?

A: Unfortunately there is no other quick-release plate that has both the 1/4" and 3/8" screws for the RED Komodo that is compatible with the Anton Bauer Titon Base Battery.

Q: 5. If I wanted to power A7siii and Ninja V (or similar monitor like a Shinobi 7 inch) how long would I get out of that combination (I am not a mathematician!). I understand not using the USB-C as its not powerful enough, using Dummy Battery?

A: You should get somewhere 4-6 hours or more with a a7S III and Ninja V with the Anton Bauer 68Wh Titon Base Battery.

Q: 6. Does it matter which port you use to charge it?

A: No it does not. You can use any of the P-Tap ports for charging.

Q: 7. Can I program the camera selection to change an output monitor to match?

A: There is no connection possible to a monitor. The camera video must be sent to a switcher, whether it is software or hardware.

Q: 8. Will this control Data Video Cameras?

A: No, the Panasonic AW-RP60 Remote Camera Controller is only compatible with Panasonic cameras.

Q: 9. Will this unit work via dtap with the original bmpcc?

A: The original BMPCC used the Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera Battery (BH# BLPCCB) so this kit would not be compatible.

Q: 10. What is the maximum power consumption on this device?

A: The Power requirements when using the Panasonic AW-RP60 would be the following. PoE Support PoE 802.3af Power Connectors 1 x 4-Pin XLR DC Input Power 10.8 to 13.2 VDC at 0.9 A

I recently purchased a Olympus Zuiko 75mm f1.8 (as part of the portarit kit), but after trying out the lens, the 75mm just feel sluggish and did not focus where I point to (on the E-M5 MkII screen). I got about 1 usable photo out of 5 or 6. Thinking maybe this is a defective copy, I returned the kit (along with the 45mm), and purchase the Panasonic 42.5mm instead. It arrived and I can't wait to try it out. I find the focus speed of the 42.5mm to be really quick. The focus is super responsive and tack sharp. The boken is still really good (probably second to the 75mm). Looks like I will be keeping the 42.5mm and not think about the portrait kit anymore. Oh well.

First of all IBIS does makes a difference. 5 axes already included on my G9 help a lot but the extra lens IBIS is always welcomed. Portrait photos look sharp and have no chromatic aberration on my point of view, so far my customers feel pleased with the photos.

I started using this lens year ago with my Olympus E-M10 and E-M5 Mark II. I never change the lens since the first day!

One of the sharpest lenses in the m43 lineup without spending too much. The autofocus is fast and accurate, it’s amazing in low light wit its wide open aperture, and it produces beautiful bokeh and shallow dof.

Ive used this lens for a couple of documentary interviews. Its the perfect focal length for head and shoulders, and the relatively fast aperture provides a nice bokeh to keep viewers focused on the subject, not the background.

I'm no expert, but this lens is shooting a solid portrait with good depth-of-field and good blurring in the background. I'm looking forward to shooting it at night soon. I feel this was a good purchase and complements my kit 12-60 and the 14-140 well. Net up will be something with a wider angle.

Good lens for the price, it's not the as nice as the f/1.2 but it will do the job.

I splurged and bought this lens after buying a few cheaper zoom lenses from both Panasonic and Lumix, realizing it would be a better bang for my buck in the long run to buy my "goal" lens rather than wasting my money on cheaper ones in the meantime. I bought this lens before fully understanding the G7 that I was using it with, but was still able to get clear, crisp, and colourful photos - as I've grown in my photography skills I've found so many more uses with this lens than I anticipated and have not once been disappointed. Even the "bad" photos I've taken through this lens still look great, the very smooth creamy blur you can get in the background of nearly every lighting situation is amazing for the size and price of this lens.

To the people saying this lens is not crisp or sharp enough most likely have the wrong settings in their camera or the wrong focus settings, especially in the G7 as it has very harsh noise reduction which leaves photos blurred, even when the noise reduction is at 0 rather than max-negative.

This lens is tiny, smaller than the kit 14-42mm lens, and extremely light; this concerned me at first as I was afraid it would be flimsy but after babying it a lot, I decided to leave it on my camera for the majority of the time - in and out of my camera bag - and it works flawlessly. It has handled some rough handling without any signs of wear, and the focus ring has maintained a smooth slippery feel which seems to have gotten stiff on my other lenses in the short amount of time I've owned them.

Very fast lens great for small sensor cameras that need more light. I use it on a G7 and recommend it!
