Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I bought this for the RF 24-105 4-7.1, and it's very snug to twist into place when installed forward (normal), but does not lock; when installed backward it slides lightly, perfectly, into place and locks. that's the opposite of my other locking hoods. any ideas?

A: Try rotating the Canon EW-73D Lens Hood when mounting it to the lens--it's a bayonet mount and the spacing may not be perfect, so one part of the bayonet may mount better than another.

Q: 2. This hood is reversible? (can be attached looking into the camera for easy storage)

A: Hi Hector! Yes the hood will fit reversed on the Canon RF 24-105mm f/4.

Q: 3. Does it comes with power supply?

A: Yes, the CalDigit Thunderbolt 4 Element Hub includes a 150W power supply.

Q: 4. If you have 4 USB3 devices plugged in, what is the capable bandwidth per port?

A: The CalDigit Thunderbolt 4 Element Hub's host connection is Thunderbolt 4, which has a maximum bandwidth of 40 Gbps. As such, four connected USB 3.0 devices running at a theoretical maximum bandwidth of 4.8 Gbps should be no problem.

Q: 5. Can it fit Canon RF 24-105 F4-7.1 IS STM?

A: Yes, the EW73D hood is compatible with the RF 24-105mm f/4-7.1.

Q: 6. Does this fit Canon 16 35 F4 ?

A: I bought a lens hood for my Canon 10-22mm f/4 with ring diameter at 77mm. If your ring is also 77mm, that will fit.

Q: 7. Will this dock support two 1440p gaming monitors with one of them at 144hz and the other at 170hz?

A: The CalDigit Thunderbolt 4 Element Hub will support two 1440p displays at 144 Hz and 175 Hz.

Q: 8. Can I daisy chain this off of my CalDigit Ts3's spare TB3 port? Or does it need to be connected to the host?

A: You can use the CalDigit Thunderbolt 4 Element Hub daisy chained to a CalDigit TS3, but total bandwidth will be limited by the connection between the TS3 and the host computer.

Q: 9. Is this EW73D fit with Canon EF-S 18-135mm 1:3.5-5.6 IS STM ?

A: No. You want the EW73B. Don't worry, if you ordered D, I did as well. B&H was excellent when assuring I got the right equipment. Very eay! But...you need the B.

Q: 10. anyone using this on a PC laptop? If yes, does it perform well? Windows 10?

A: The CalDigit Thunderbolt 4 Element Hub would be suitable for a Windows laptop.
