Designed for their 1595Air case, the Pelican 7-Piece Foam Set can be used to replace the foam that came with your case. It can also be used if you need to put different gear in it than originally intended, or as an option if you bought the case without foam. This set consists of a convoluted egg crate foam lid insert, a base layer for the bottom of the case, and five pieces of customizable Pick N Pluck foam. Pelican recommends that you leave at least an inch of foam between your gear and the inside walls of the case to make sure it is well protected.

A: I would think so how ever I would argue with check in staff and make sure the airline takes full responsibility for damage and theft. I have seen checked bags thrown 2 -3 meters on to utes at airports in the US some landing on the tarmac on the other side of the ute. with 18kg of camera stuff inside the bag I would be supprized if any case would offer protection. I had a bag once that was completely demolished Im sure it would had to have been driven over to cause the amount of damage. So take it onboard.....
