Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this camera do everything the basic cool pic camera does?

A: This is a out sized point & shoot camera. Yes, it can do anything a point and shoot can. However, the reason to get it is the enormous zoom lens. This is for when you are at a sporting event of a relative or if you are chasing wildlife or want close ups of the Moon. Otherwise it will be bigger, heavier than a regular point & shoot.

Q: 2. Is the video output adjustable? Does it support Pro Res Raw?

A: The Nikon COOLPIX P1000 Digital Camera can output in HD externally to displays or recorders. ProRes ( Not RAW) would be supported if you paired the camera with the Atomos Ninja V https://bhpho.to/3e5ZAV6 More info from Nikon about Clean HDMI output. See page 177,104 https://download.nikonimglib.com/archive4/JdmEu00DfQTg04rJrFm43SNDaO51/P1000RM_(En)06.pdf

Q: 3. Is Nikon planning on a battery grip for this beast?

A: There are no plans for a grip for the P1000. If Nikon does come out with a grip, they will announce it on their website.

Q: 4. Is this camera significantly better than the p 950 for shooting far away subjects (seals that are about 1/10th of a mile away)?

A: Yes. The zoom long ins the Nikon COOLPIX P1000 Digital Camera zooms to a 3000mm equivalent range so it can zoom in closer compared to the P950 which zooms to 2000mm equivalent. But this the P950 has the 2nd longest zoom range among the current bridge cameras.

Q: 5. does the fuji x 100v do 4k still grab?

A: Yes with the right software you can any 4K frame and edit as a still photo

Q: 6. Can you transfer directly from the camera to a laptop, via a USB cable?

A: Yes, the Panasonic Lumix FZ80D Digital Camera comes with a USB-C cable for downloading files from the memory card, but it does not support tethered shooting.

Q: 7. Which has the best noise settings feature for a bridge camera the Nikon Cool Pix 1000 or the Sony RX10M4?

A: The P1000 camera has a 1/23" sensor while the RX10 Mk IV has a 1" sensor, so on paper the RX10 Mk IV has far superior low-light sensitivity. However, this comes with a hit to lens focal length; the P1000 has a 24-3000mm lens and the RX10 Mk IV has a 24-600mm. Depending on your subject matter, each camera's mileage may vary.

Q: 8. Will we be able to use this camera with focus stacking software?

A: This camera does not have in camera focus stacking. You will have to prepare for doing the focusing manually and the do the processing in an appropriate photo application.

Q: 9. Would anyone recommend using this to scan negative film? Mainly 35mm. I see that this camera can focus to 4 inches. Would that fill the 35mm frame? I know there are better system to do this, but don't got the time, and I saw someone on YouTube attempting this so had to ask. Thanks!

A: You can certainly use your camera to photograph negatives and reverse the image. Just make sure the negative is flat and that you have an even light source behind it.

Q: 10. X-T30II has 12-15min as claimed by users against fuji's claims 30min max, So what's real MAX video record limit for X100V?

A: As specified by the manufacturer, the FUJIFILM X100V Digital Camera supports up to 10 Minutes in 4K, 15 Minutes in 1080p, and up to 6 Minutes in 1080p HFR. Any specified time above those parameters would pertain to the battery life, which is approximately 45 minutes for 4K and 50 minutes for 1080p video.
