Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I have Surface book 2, no hdmi, 1 usb-c connection. The usb-c is 3.1 with DisplayPort 1.2 alt mode. Cintiq 16 work out of box?

A: You will need to download drivers for the Wacom Cintiq 16 Creative Pen Display BH #WADTK1660K0A.

Q: 2. Does the USB C connector come with an adapter to older USB ports (like the Sandisk SSD drives come with)?

A: This product comes with a USB Type-C to Type-A cable.

Q: 3. How well does this tablet work with Z-brush?

A: This would work amazingly with the z-Brush

Q: 4. Is this tablet compatible with Windows 7?

A: Yes it works fine with windows 7

Q: 5. Would you know the dimension of the box?

A: The Box Dimensions would be as follows (LxWxH) 21.2 x 18.4 x 1.3"

Q: 6. will this be fine for photo editing?

A: With NTSC gamut – 72% NTSC = 99% sRGB and with 16" screen and an amazing pen and surface this would easily suffice for an inexpensive yet powerful tablet for photo editing.

Q: 7. Does it need a screen protection? If yes what do you recommend?

A: These don't typically require a screen protector. We do not have one specially made for it and any screen protector would not be beneficial to the touch sensitivity of the device.

Q: 8. Does this work with Debian derivatives? Wacom drivers are available in Ubuntu repositories. One by Wacom (not Wacom one, the one with display) works with Linux. I wonder if cintiqs are supported.

A: This unit is compatible with Windows and Mac. You would need to contact Wacom for assistance with any other OS.

Q: 9. I want to use this strictly for spotting scanned film in PS and would like it to be mirrored with my existing graphics monitor...is this possible (Windows 10)?

A: Absolutely. You do not have to use the pen feature at all. You can just use the tablet as a supplementary monitor.

Q: 10. Does it need to be connected to a computer?

A: Yes, it does have to be connected to a Mac or Windows PC.

I’m not sure my writing abilities will accurately represent how much I love this device. It’s become an instrumental part of my picture processing, and I can’t believe how long I’ve been processing pictures without it. I would recommend anyone that process photographs on a regular basis pick one of these devices up, and be prepared to be awed.

The learning curve is a little bit steep, but watch a few videos, be persistent, and what you’ll come out with on the other end will be a complete paradigm shift for how you work with your photos. It enables a level of control that you’ve never had before, and for me, actually brought-out a level of creativity I was never able to discover using a mouse or trackball.

One question I had about this device was whether or not to go with a medium or large, and at least for photo editing purposes, I would definitely go with a medium. I’ve actually cut the usable space on the tablet down by about a third, so there’s plenty of real estate.

I have given 5 stars based on my experience with my old Intuos tablet that lasted about 15 years. This one is defective, and Wacom is replacing it.  When I receive, set up and start using the replacement, I will give an update.

I had an older version of Wacom Intuos Tablet (about 10 years old), and this one is by far a huge jump. I like the over all size is a bit smaller, and the sensitivity of it is great. Highly recommended!

I have used a Wacom tablet since the mid-1990s both at work and home as a writer/graphic artist.

This slimmer, yet, with a smaller over-all size (meaning less desk space taken, but same active tablet space) the Intuos Pro Paper is another in the fine Wacom tradition of user features and upgrades.

There is no mouse with this device, so if you ever want to use such an input device, be advised.

The tablet's active area serves s both a gestures device and, with InkSpace, can capture your drawings with paper placed over the active area and secured with the paper clip. This device satisfies both the analog and the digital artist in its users.

This was a replacement for my Intuos 3 tablet. WACOM has certainly upgraded and made a better tablet. Easier to use, more short cut buttons and a much easier setup.
