A: The velcro portion has an effective circumference when wrapped of approximately 21cm / 8.2", which means the leg at most can have a maximum diameter of 6.6cm / 2.63".

A: I wouldn't recommend it as a spreader, it would not be stable enough for that purpose.

I bought this hammock to use with my Dolica tripod, on which I mounted an easel box for outdoor painting. I put a couple of small sandbags, a large water bottle, and paper towels in the hammock. I have been on location with this setup when the winds were gusting to 20-30 MPH, and it provided excellent stability. The Velcro straps adjust to differ positions on the tripod legs, so I can set up with a lower or higher perspective. The hammock itself is large, sturdy, and holds quite a bit. Very pleased with the result. Great price. 5

Unlike Anywhere USA, up here in the SanJuan Mountains- which are higher than high- staying upright on anything but level with the wind being anything other than gentle or consistent can be a considerable back country challenge. A well weighted tripod hammock sure helps us out way out yonder. Thanks again, B&H! 5

I use them in my high school TV Studio. The work great for creating a place to store the Telex headset and belt packs, as we all other cables when not in use. I have not used them to add additional weight to a tripod... 5

Cheap but effective. Great addition to any set of sticks. I use mine to help hold materials, phone, lens, etc during a shoot. Great bag area to hold 'stuff'. 5
