Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What length avalanche poles will fit in this backpack. IS there room for an avalanche shovel?

A: There is no limit to the length of a pole other than what you are comfortable with carrying. A pole or tripod would be external to the backpack as shown in this photo: https://bit.ly/2X70YlM However using an extremely long pole could interfere with your ability to walk but a taller person would be able to handle a longer pole than a shorter person. It would be more comfortable using a pole, tripod or shovel that is not much longer than 21 inches,

Q: 2. How to access the side pocket if it is a backpack? A backpack needs two front straps, there is no way to have a quick side access unless at least one strap is taken off. I love the comfort of backpack because it distributes the weight evenly but I also like the sling type bag for fast access. Is this the combo of both worlds?

A: Just like others have stated, you have to slip one strap off in order to slide the pack around to the front.

Q: 3. Will a Cannon 5D Mark III with 70-200mm lens attached fit in the BP 250 AW III so that it can be used using the side opening?

A: The Canon EOS 5D Mark III DSLR Camera with the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS III USM Lens attached is too large to be removed from the side opening on the Lowepro Fastpack BP 250 AW III (Gray).

Q: 4. Does this drain battery if i just keep NP- F 970(Sony ORIGINAL) INSerted permanently, considering it doesn't have on/off switch. Looking to use this to pair with Mixpre 6ii

A: Yes it does. The power drain is very small but it does exist.

Q: 5. Does the metal buckles in the world start the machine? I'm worried about this.

A: I use electrical tape on the buckles

Q: 6. What is the shoulder strap width? Can this accomodate a Peak Design Capture clip?

A: The strap of the Lowepro FreeLine Backpack 350 AW is 3" wide. The Peak Design Capture clip fits, but it is tight, so it would be better to use the longer screws that come with the clip

Q: 7. Will Canon 5D mark III with 70-200mm lens attached fit?

A: If you are using the f/4 version of the Canon 70-200 lens, the Lowepro Fastpack BP 250 AW III will fit the Canon 5D MIII DSLR camera with the lens attached. If you are using the f/2.8 version of the 70-200 f/2.8 lens, the backpack will not fit with the lens attached.

Q: 8. Hi,will a Canon t6i + Tamron 100-400mm Lens attached fit? Lens dimensions are the same as a 70-200mm f2.8. Has someone tried it?

A: No, the Lowepro FreeLine Backpack 350 AW (Heather Gray) is too small for the T6i with the Tamron 100-400 attached.

Q: 9. Will this bag fit a Nikon z9, 70 - 200 s lens, 24-120 s lens?

A: Yes, the Lowepro FreeLine Backpack 350 AW (Heather Gray) is large enough for the Z9 with the Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-120mm f/4 S Lens attached and loose the Nikon NIKKOR Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR S Lens.

Q: 10. Can one of the backpack straps be removed from the bottom buckle and reconnected at the buckle on the other side to become a sling bag?

A: No. Unit only offers backpack straps and handle.
