This B-mount, 367Wh Helix Max 360 Lithium-Ion Dual-Voltage Battery from Core SWX features simultaneous 14 and 28V dual-volage capabilities for a complete onboard system with high-voltage performance. A maximum load of 20A at 16.8V or 10A at 33.6V makes this battery ideal for powering more demanding equipment builds in cine and broadcast applications.

Helix Max series batteries draw minimal current at their maximum voltage, creating less heat and extending the runtime and longevity of each battery. D-Tap and USB-A outputs power other accessories from monitors to mobile devices. An integrated LCD screen monitors runtime and total battery percentage, while built-in camera communication delivers this data directly to your viewfinder. Wrap-around 3-stage LED indicators provide a secondary way to monitor battery life and charge status. An improved polycarbonate housing is shock-absorbing for maximum durability.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can you fly with these batteries without them being over the security limit?

A: If you plan on flying with these batteries, the BEST way would be to have them connected to either a charger or a light. When the batteries are not connected, the fear is that the terminals will arc onto each other, start a fire, and kill everyone on board the airplane. If the battery is connected to something (charger or light), then that cannot happen, and so they can be packed into luggage. I would recommend letting the airline know that you are flying with these batteries, but they are connected, so there is nothing to worry about. // Also, if there are any other technical or product related questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time at support@dracobroadcast.com.

Q: 2. I assume this does not come with a case. What size case is needed to accommodate both batteries, the charger and cables?

A: A medium flip top storage box holds 2 folding LED instruments with doors, 2 batteries & charger.

Q: 3. Will the Dracast 90Wh 14.8V v-mount battery power the Sony FS7 via the XDCA attachment?

A: Yes, the XDCA has a v-mount attachment. I use these batteries on my FS7 and they work perfectly.

Q: 4. Are these suitable to power a fully built Alexa Mini if I used two of the batteries at a time? I am looking to use these batteries on a steadicam rig.

A: Yes. That is correct. The HyperCore NEO Slim 98Wh Gold Mount 2-Battery Kit with GPM-X2A Dual Charger will work with an Alexa Mini setup.

Q: 5. New to the world of these types of batteries. I was wondering if these would be good for Aperture 120d II? and if so how long do you think they would last when using 120d II for shooting video?

A: Yes these batteries are powerful enough for the Aputure 120D II however they will not last too long if you set the light at 100% brightness. Typically we recommend 150WH batteries and higher to get at least 45 minutes to an hour at full brightness.

Q: 6. What voltage output is the D-tap? Regulated or unregulated?

A: According to Dracast, the D-tap voltage is 12 volts and unregulated. This actually is the usual arrangement for a D-tap across the industry.

Q: 7. I asked this question once before, unfortunately my words appear to be edited. Can these batteries be considered as 'high output' as required for certain lights? What is their amperage?

A: I believe that all Lithium-Ion batteries are considered high output. However, what other manufacturers mean when they say that their equipment needs a high output battery may be different. I can not speak for what others mean when they use this phrase, but my understanding is that the very nature of Lithium-Ion is such that they can be considered high output. - - - - - - - - - - - - Regarding the amperage question, if you divide the Watt-hours (Wh) by the Voltage (V) of the battery, it will give you the Amp-hours (Ah). So, for our 90 Wh batteries, the Ah are just over sixthe actual number I got was 6.081081... - - - Now, this is not the actual amperage, just the amp-hours, but it is as close as I can get. I do not have any amperage ratings for any of our batteries. // Also, if there are any other technical or product related questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time at support@dracobroadcast.com.

Q: 8. Do I need a v mount charger to charge these or a cable will do?

A: You will need a v-mount charger of some sort, either a cable variety like the Core SWX PB70C15 D-Tap Wall Charger (BH #COPB70C15 • MFR #PB70C15) or a standalone unit like the Core SWX GPM-X2S Mini Dual Travel Battery Charger - V-Mount (BH #COGPMX2S • MFR #GPM-X2S).

Q: 9. Is there a version of the slim battery that also has a usb-c port?

A: There is no version of the Core SWX Hypercore NEO Slim 98Wh Lithium-Ion Battery (V-Mount) with a USB-C port.

Q: 10. Will this battery work with these lights?a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1081003-REG/genaray_spectroled_360_bi_color_led.html target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1081003-REG/genaray_spectroled_360_bi_color_led.html/aThese batteries operate normally at 14.8v but the lights say they can be used with 12-14.4v. Sorry if the answer to this question is as obvious as it seems.

A: This will work just fine with the Genaray SpectroLED. We even have a few other battery and power solutions with a 14.8v rating listed for the light. That is just a nominal rating for the battery, it will not cause any damage to the light if you use a battery that is slightly higher.
