Designed for applications that include Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, FXhome HitFilm, MAGIX Vegas Pro, Grass Valley EDIUS, Assimilate SCRATCH, and The Foundry NUKE, the EDGE XT2i Creative Pro Workstation from NextComputing provides a balance of hardware to let users get the most out of their video editing software and focus on creating advanced content. The system is powered by a 3.5 GHz Intel Core i9-10920X 12-Core processor and 19.25MB of cache memory, all of which will allow you to run multiple applications simultaneously and provide significant performance gains when running multi-threaded tasks. If more power is needed, the CPU can deliver extra performance by increasing its clock speed up to 4.8 GHz utilizing Intel's Turbo Boost technology. System performance is further enhanced by 128GB of 2666 MHz DDR4 RAM, which allows you to quickly access frequently used files and programs. It comes in an 8 x 16GB configuration and be upgraded to 256GB by using a 32GB module in each of the eight 288-pin DIMM slots.

For storage of your files, this system is equipped with both a 1TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD and 512GB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD. If you want to add external storage drives, optical drives, printers, memory card readers, or other peripherals, the EDGE XT2i features two 40 Gb/s Thunderbolt 3 ports, both of which support DisplayPort video output, one 10 Gb/s USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port, six 5 Gb/s USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, and two 480 Mb/s USB-A 2.0 ports. For users who wish to add additional components to the drive bays, there are four 3.5" bays and three 2.5" drive bays, plus one empty M.2 slot that supports SATA III and PCIe 3.0 x4 SSDs.

The dual dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 graphics cards each have 16GB of GDDR6X RAM and deliver a sharp, clear picture, while allowing for multiple simultaneous displays to be used via its HDMI 2.1a and DisplayPort 1.4 outputs at resolutions up to 4K at 240 Hz or 8K at 60 Hz. Whether you are listening to music, watching a movie, or playing a game, the integrated Realtek HD AC1220A audio controller outputs high-definition audio and delivers higher fidelity than standard audio controllers. Wired network connectivity is achieved using one 5 Gigabit Ethernet port and one Gigiabit Ethernet port, or take advantage of Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) for wireless network connectivity. Additional wireless peripherals such as a keyboard, mouse, and headset may be paired using Bluetooth 5.0 technology.

The NextComputing EDGE XT2i Creative Pro Workstation includes a Logitech MK270 wireless keyboard and mouse, plus a power cord. The installed operating system is Windows 10 Pro (64-bit).

After its hiatus in Windows 8, the Start Menu has returned. Utilizing a combination of the traditional menu system and Windows 8's Live Tiles, the improved Start Menu gives you more information at a glance, showing notification information alongside your applications and other pinned items.

Microsoft's digital personal assistant, Cortana can answer your questions with information gleaned from both your device and the internet at large. You can type or even talk with her, if your system has a microphone. Using her Notebook, Cortana keeps track of your needs and wants, and she learns over time to improve her information gathering skills.

After nearly 20 years, Microsoft has finally replaced its Internet Explorer web browser. With Microsoft Edge, users can write directly on web pages and share notes with friends and colleagues. It also improves the online reading experience by adding a distraction-free mode and read-it-later functionality. Edge also has built-in Cortana integration; you can have her help you find a restaurant, make a reservation, and pull up directions without leaving your browser.

For Windows 10, Microsoft has unified the Windows Store. Now, apps for PCs, tablets, and phones will all be accessible from one place. And with support for Universal Apps, one version of an app can work across all your compatible devices automatically.

Windows 10 was designed for a variety of screen sizes and input styles, and with its Continuum feature, it automatically adapts to fit your needs. A Windows 10 tablet on its own requires a touch-centric approach, but attaching a mouse and keyboard will shift everything to a more traditional interface. You can even attach an external monitor to your Windows 10 phone for a near-desktop experience. But it's not just the operating system; Windows Universal Apps take advantage of Continuum as well.

Gaming is a big focus of Windows 10. Xbox integration allows for PC players to match up against Xbox One players on supported games, and if you have an Xbox One, you can even stream compatible titles to your PC. Native support for recording with the new Game DVR feature makes it easy to capture and share your gameplay. The new DirectX12 takes better advantage of multi-core processors, giving games a performance boost, even on older hardware. Windows 10 also features native support for virtual reality headsets, such as the Oculus Rift.

The Pro version of Windows 10 includes all of the features of Windows 10 Home plus many designed specifically for business users, including Hyper-V virtualization, BitLocker disk encryption, and remote desktop access. Devices will also be able to join domains and the Azure Active Directory, and they can even access a specialized version of the Windows Store featuring custom, company-specific applications.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Which texture has this tablet? Standard or Smooth?

A: This would be the standard finish.

Q: 2. Does this work with light Room CC?

A: I bought this tablet about a year ago from B&H. Yes this works great with Lightroom CC and Photoshop. It also works with other software such as Microsoft Word and Excel. I am also using the tablet with Capture One. Good it well

Q: 3. works with Capture One Pro 11?

A: I dont use capture one pro. Does work for everything and Photoshop though.

Q: 4. Is it compatible with Windows 10?

A: Current drivers do support Windows 10. You would need to download those from the Wacom website.

Q: 5. Can you use a memory card reader to expand storage on this tablet? What kind of storage does it have?

A: No, it wouldn't be possible. This device doesn't have any built in storage. It is a drawing tablet only meant for drawing and editing alone.

Q: 6. This tablet comes with a pen in the box. The recommended accessories include a tablet pro pen. Do i need to buy the extra pen(s)?

A: I found that the pen in the box is doing a wonderful job for me (as a freelance designer), works well on the tablet and with Adobe's Creative Suite. I suggest trying it out first and seeing if it meets your particular needs before spending the extra money.

Q: 7. Will this product be fully functional and able to recharge with a usb-c to thunderbolt 2 cable?

A: The product will function over this type of connection, however it will not charge as quickly.

Q: 8. i want to buy wacom intuos pro small, where can i buy this item here in the philippines thanks

A: You may purchase the Wacom Intuos Pro Professional Pen & Touch Tablet (Black, Small) B&H # WAIPPTS from our website directly, we ship to Philippines.

Q: 9. Hi, before I may purchase a Wacom intuos pro small tablet, I need to ask if you have to have a computer to use it. I don't have a laptop or any computer so I want to know if you can draw and save your artwork right on the tablet.Sorry I didn't understand the features and didn't see this anywhere

A: This particular model requires that it is connected to a computer. Wacom mobile studio pro models have the features you are wanting but they are quite expensive. Unless there are any specific reasons for needing to purchase Wacom, I'd suggest going for something like iPad Pro with Apple Pencil. That'll get you the capabilities you need at a reasonable price.

Q: 10. How can I get this to work with USB-C? is there a cable I can buy or does it work with the Apple USBC to USB adapter? I would prefer to buy a cable that plugs in directly.

A: It will work with any USBC to USB adapter, most likely. The cable it comes with is a pretty standard USB to USB-C cable. If you want to use it with Bluetooth, be sure to update the drivers; that took care of the rather significant lagginess I was experiencing at first. Now I use it mostly wireless.

The table arrived in a timely fashion. I think I’m just three days from the time of order. It arrived in working condition, unlike one I had ordered from Amazon. I would buy from this vendor again, plus we must support small businesses and Dow away with the likes of Amazon as much as we can.

I'm happy to finally be working on an intuos pro tablet. Glad I waited because the paper edition is just perfect for my workflow. I can complete sketches out in the field or in my local coffee shop and also have the digital layers ready when I get home. No more scanning! The intuos itself lives up to all the reviews.

I got the small Intuos Pro for my husband as a Xmas present. I have the big one and that one is great but too big for him to travel. He is now able to take it with him all over the world while he teaches his Photography Workshops.
