What can you say about a step up ring? It works. The filters thread on as you'd expect. The difference for me is the ridged edge of the ring. It allows for a good grip in case the filter, or the ring, gets tightened a bit too much. No need for extra tools to break it loose. 5

This ring has allowed me to use my polarizing filter on my Micro For Thirds lens. I have experienced no problems, and this appears to be a good quality item. 5
