Solid build quality, includes hardware for a wide variety of mounts, and even the printed instructions are great. Has no issue holding a 600mm/F4 lens on a monopod for long hikes. 5

Added this to my new Arca-Swiss Z1+ 3/8 monoball head. Works terrific with all of my various Arca style plates, and is small, compact, and it threads directly onto my heads 3/8 threads, without any adapters. All metal construction, so it matches the quality of the Arca-Swiss, and it also keeps a low profile. Nice! 5

I got this clamp for my Naturescapes skimmer, as suggested in the skimmer add-on item list. Works great, JUST screws on nicely and sets snuggly with the 3 set-screws. It completes my low-angle solution, along with a pair of reading glasses to view my camera's LCD while sitting on the ground. 5

With the C-12 mounted on my monopod I no longer have to remove the wimberley plate to mount a long lens. Lens is secure and plate is on for gimbal or monopod use. 5

Bought this so I can use a Kirk L-bracket I got from somewhere else for a very, very good price. Installed it on a Vanguard SBH-250. I used the stock screw that came with it instead of using the reducer bushing & screw that came with it. A lot of people seem to think that the Vanguard 3/8-16x1 screw is unuseable but it worked fine for me. FYI: the Vanguard screw is not a normal 3/8-16. I went to Lowe's & HD to buy a 3/8-16x1 with continuous thread since the stock screw is only threaded on the lower half. I discovered that the Vanguard screw has the flat head of a 1/4-20 but the stem of a 3/8-16. So the American 3/8-16 head will not fit on the SBH-250 stem even if the screw fits. Although tightening it was enough...I still used the 3 screws that bite a little on the ball head stem to make sure it will never twist. Build-quality is very good. The clamp doesn't need to be excessively tightened. I also used a blue Permatex threadlocker for added security. When the knob stops moving, my L-bracket is secured. This is a very good product that I believe can outlast me in this lifetime if cared properly. And Wimberley made the mount versatile enough that I can transfer this product to future ball heads as long as companies will still make Arca plates. Which makes it a very, very good deal if you only need to buy this once in a lifetime. Some people think that its a con of this product for not having a spirit level. It doesn't affect me because most QR clamps that have built-in levels out there have their bubbles placed in awkward spots that get covered when the camera is already sitting on the clamps. And I prefer hot-shoe level because in my opinion is the best spot for a level. Great product! 5
