Far more portable than binoculars, the Vixen H4x12 Multi Monocular is an exquisite little optic that will come in handy time and time again. Its 4x magnification and wide field of view allow for observation at a distance, but it can also focus on objects as close as 7.9" away. The view is enhanced by multiple anti-reflective coatings, which maximize light transmission and minimize aberrations. Whether it's a scenic vista, an osprey on a nest, a guitarist's fingers at a concert, or a detail of a painting at a museum, the H4x12 Multi Monocular will give you a better view.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. So this lens can be used for major photography purposes (like architectural) beside macro?

A: Yes, that lens can be used for architectural shots. If you use the lens on an APS-C sensor camera you get the benefits of the lens being able to shift for perspective.

Q: 2. Can we use this with Canon 70D

A: I use it on my Full frame 6D but apparently it can be used on a crop sensor check for vignetting before you buy.

Q: 3. I'd like to purchase the Canon EF version with the intent of adapting it for Panasonic GH5 and Sony FS5 cameras. Will the appropriate adapters work or will there be any issues related to function and ability of the lens?

A: As long as those Panasonic and Sony cameras are Canon mount, it will work. The lens is 100% manual; there are no adapters to worry about.

Q: 4. Is this lens prone to let dust come on the sensor? I ask this because of the shift mecanism. Is the lens body well insulated?

A: The Venus Optics Laowa 15mm f/4 Macro Lens for Leica L It does not have the issue as zoom lenses have with dust. But it is not listed as weather sealed, which is pretty common on shift lenses.

Q: 5. With its 12cm minimum focusing distance, how can it achieve 1:1 magnification with 15mm focal length?

A: The lens can focus as close as 4.72 (12cm) from the object. With that minimum focus distance that lens can produce a 1:1 magnification ratio.

Q: 6. When the EF version is used with an adapter to a different mount, does it still allow to use 1:1 magnification?

A: Yes, the Venus Optics Laowa 15mm f/4 Macro Lens for Canon EF retains 1:1 magnification when adapted to another mount.

Q: 7. Will this lens work on an EOS R Camera?

A: Yes, with the Canon EF to R adapter. You can view the adapter on our website by clicking the link below; https://bhpho.to/37mRYJy

Q: 8. At infinity focus, how far out from the bayonet does the rear element extend? Or more to the point, has anyone tried to use this lens in K mount at infinity on a Canon full frame dslr? Any trouble with the Canon's mirror hitting the rear element?I'm hoping I can buy this lens in PK mount and use it on both a Pentax dslr and a Canon 5D. Since this lens has a manual aperture, there's no auto aperture lever extending from the bayonet which would hit the 5D's mirror. So, in theory, I should be able to use this lens in K mount on a Canon 5D just by using a simple PK to Canon adapter.Unless the rear element / housing extends too far out from the bayonet. Anyone know?

A: My lens is a Nikon mount so I don't know how helpful this will be.At infinity focus, the rear element's barrel back face projects approximately 3.5 mm beyond the rearmost surface of the Nikon mounting flange

Q: 9. With the ftz adapter, I just cannot nail tje focus at 1:1. Anyone have an idea what am doing wrong?

A: If the lens was placed further or closer than 4.7" from the subject, it will be difficult to focus for 1:1.

Q: 10. Can you mount a canon macro twinlite flash on the lens?

A: Yes, with the Canon macrolite adapter and a step up ring, you attach the twin lite. You may get vignetting but can be cropped out in post. Click the links below to view the parts needed; https://bhpho.to/2BpDqgT https://bhpho.to/2BTRJKu
