A: Hi Joshua, although you can use a 3rd party lens with the help of a 3rd party lens adapter, Sony can't guarantee 100% compatibility/functionality of a 3rd party lens/adapter. -Anthony

Q: 3. Can my a580 lenses work on the a7II? especially my 70-300 G SSM lense along with my Minolta lenses?

Q: 6. ....best screen protector for the A7II?

A: Best protector is PCKLM15 from Sony for RX1 should be the best LCD protector for A7II. I got my A7II the first it came out. Sony store employee recommended the LCD protector for A7/A7R and told me it would work. Well, it doesn't. The LCD size of A7 series are the similar across models, but the black frame are different for the newer A7II body. I had to flip the screen protector upside down so that I could see the rest of the screen. I heard that Sony is recommending the LCD protector for their RX1. I've seen a lot of reviews for the LCD protector I mentioned above and it should fit it well. I still have the A7 protector on my LCD but I installed it upside down still. Soon I'll get the PCKLM15 for RX1 when I get the chance.-Alfred

Q: 7. Is 8-bit 4:2:0 the maximum video signal the A7M2 with the latest firmware upgrade can output for capture on an external recorder?

A: The Sony a9 does not have log/flat profiles available; it cannot shoot Prores422 internally to SD cards, even the fast slot at 300Mbps. There is clean HDMI out, so 4:2:2 10bit log/Prores422 to an external recorder. The a9 records video in 4k or at 120fps, but it is really a photography (sports/wildlife/events) centric camera.

Q: 8. What would be the best mirror less sony camera that I can upgrade to that I wouldn't need an adapter for my a580 lenses?

A: Hi Debbie, The best camera that we can recommend is the Sony a99 II (A-mount). Although it's not a mirrorless camera, it has a Translucent Mirror that doesn't flip like a typical DSLR. The Translucent Mirror Technology enables the Hybrid Phase Detection AF System consisting of two AF sensors. -Anthony

Q: 9. Does a7 ii overheat in video? I want to use it for concert but i don't find any information about that...( My hope its to use the hack to use a7ii for 1hour-1h30).

A: We are not aware of any overheating issues with the A7II for video recording.

Q: 10. Is the 29 minute video recording time based on the size of the memory card? Can I use a larger card?

A: No. FCC regulation does not allow hybrid cameras to record no longer then 29.9 minutes. Having a bigger memory card will not help to record longer durations of video just allow you to store more 29.9 clips.
