A: It will work with the tripod legs, but the max load for those legs are 12 pounds. The head itself is fairly heavy, so if you are looking to use this with a heavier lens and camera I would look into upgrading to heavier legs.

A: No, it will not. The BlackRapid FastenR-T1 is designed for use with the Manfrotto 200PL-14 QR Plate, while the Manfrotto Heavy Telephoto Lens Support uses the RC3-type quick release plate.

A: The Manfrotto plate is an arca swiss type, e.g., it slides it slides and out, QR style. It is screwed onto the U bracket which has a number of screw fittings, although they vare wider than the Arca Swiss plate I have on my Nikkor 300mm af-s ED IF, a RRS LCF 10 B. I could attach it with just one screw, but I'm guessing there is a larger AS plate with the proper 3 screw spacing.I use the lens support with my Tammy 150-600 G1 lens. It's much easier to move than a Ball head and much more stable.Cheers.
