A: It all depends on the type of composition you prefer shooting. Canon RF 85mm f/1.2L USM DS Lens angle of view is 28° 30' which may be too narrow for Astrophotography compositions. I will recommend starting with a 35mm. There aren't any Canon L series 35mmprime lenses yet. Canon has a 15-35mm ultra wide angle lens on the RF L series.

Q: 2. How do these cine lenses fare for fashion and art photography.Also does anyone know how well they would work the Sony Alpha a7rii with the metabones adaptor?

A: Cine lenses, even these affordable ones, have some criteria that are higher than still lenses. In regard to these Rokinon's that means the T Stop on one lens lets in the exact amount of light on all of them. F/stops on still lenses vary from one lens to the other. Also these are uniformly coated to have the same color and flare control in all the lenses. In addition to these two features, the lenses are uniformly sharp. Therefore they will work image wise for any type of photography. Keep in mind however, these are manual only. In the heat of still photo battle, I would think you will miss the instant button push of focus and aperture control.

Q: 3. Will these lenses work with a Sony PXW-FS5 XDCAM Super 35 Camera or do I need an adapter?Thanks !

A: No adapter required. These are Sony E-Mount as is the PXW-FS5 so they should work like a charm.

A: They will not. These lenses are for cameras with an MFT mount. The M50 and the EOS-R do not have an MFT mount. At this time Rokinon does not offer cinema lenses that will mount to either the M50 or EOS-R.

A: Like a leopard who can't change his spots, lenses cannot change their focal length. Ever. When considering FOV or Field of View, the determining factor is the sensor size. Before digital, there was no such thing as crop factor. It was turned into a thing that has confused newbies and vets ever since. Rather than worry about calculating the FOV of a format you are not using, just know what mm's do wide-medium-long with the sensor of your camera. In MFT, 12mm is wide, 25mm is normal and 50mm is tele. I find this ever so much easier. I much rather use my brain on creative decisions than wasting it on conversions. For the record, the crop factor of the Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K sensor is 2x as compared to full frame.
