Located in the second focal plane, the MOA-2 reticle, Sightron's most popular, is suited to short- and long-range target shooting, with fine crosshairs, a floating dot, and hash marks along all 4 quadrants in 2 MOA increments.

Never experience drift with Sightron's patented windage and elevation adjustment technology. It provides proper alignment between the adjustments and the erector tube by maintaining the same constant and accurate point of pressure at zero or extreme adjustments.

For superior performance, Sightron created a new Zact-7 Revcoat Plus lens coating for increased light transmission and improved clarity.

  • Machined from a single piece of aluminum

  • Shockproof for use with the highest calibers
  • Nitrogen gas charged for a lifetime of fog-free use

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this lens' aperture on MFT be controlled from the camera?

A: No, on lens only.

Q: 2. does this have infinity focus marking?

A: Yes, the Laowa 15mm has an infinity mark. On my copy, the rotational stop is just slightly past the center of the infinity symbol.

Q: 3. Does this lens take a variable ND filter?

A: Yes, 72mm.

Q: 4. On a sony a7ii in manual mode, can the camera still shoot bracketed shots automatically? Thinking the camera's iso and f-stop would stay constant but the body would change the shutter speed, correct?

A: That is correct.

Q: 5. One comment said you can't see the exposure when taking the picture? Is this true? I find that hard to believe. Thank you.

A: Venus Optics Laowa 15mm f/2 FE Zero-D Lens for Nikon Z is a full manual operation lens. It does not have electronic contacts to communicate with the camera therefore the aperture information is not available in the camera or under the file metadata. Any other exposure information is display on the camera.

Q: 6. Does lens have any communications with the camera at all?

A: No, this lens has no electronic contacts.

Q: 7. how does this compare to Zeiss Batis 25mm f/2?

A: The Zeiss has motors, the Laowa is manual. The Zeiss will have superior image and build quality. The Laowa is very good as it is. If you wish manual focus, good image and build quality and save some money get the Laowa.

Q: 8. Is there a lens profile available for this lens to correct distortion and vignette?

A: Lightroom has a lens profile

Q: 9. Can one see and manipulate the aperture via the EOS R touchscreen?

A: The lens has a manual aperture ring.

Q: 10. How controlled is barrel distortion on this lens? I’m interested in it for architectural interiors but hesitant because some Astro lenses don’t put tech into controlling BD. Has anyone tested this lens shooting arch?

A: The distortion is minimal on this lens from what we have seen. It would be a fine choice for shooting architecture.
