Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Which is the right Windjammer to fit this Stereo Cyclone (Single Mic 2)?

A: Hi Michael. That's the Cyclone Windjammer, Medium. Details here: a href= http://www.mymic.rycote.com/products/cyclone-windjammer-medium/ target= _blank http://www.mymic.rycote.com/products/cyclone-windjammer-medium//a

Q: 2. I understand that the Rycote Cyclone Windshield Kit (Small) is supposed to be the appropriate size for a Sennheiser MKH-50, but will the Medium work as well without any downsides?

A: Hi Tony. Yes, it will be fine: the only real downside is loss of compact profile and a slightly increased weight spec. Wind protection will actually be increased slightly due to larger basket size.

Q: 3. How should this windshield be stored and transported - what type of case?

A: There is no specific case designed for storing and transporting the windshield, but you could use a hardshell case like those made by Pelican and SKB or use a padded carry bag.

Q: 4. would this work with the CMC641?

A: This is not the appropriate blimp system for the Schoeps CMC641 microphones. The Rycote Stereo Cyclone MS Kit 5 Windshield System for Schoeps CMC Pair, BH #RYCWSK5 is made to work with CMS series microphones.

Q: 5. Does this item come with the microphone suspension mount ? has the picture show ?

A: The Rycote cyclone windshield (#19102) does not include the suspension mount. Please see item #089102 for the entire kit; B&H# RYCWSKM.

Q: 6. Will it fit the Sony A7rii?

A: Yes, this would be compatible with the Sony A7R ii.

Q: 7. Will this fit a Sony FS7 with a bottom plate and the extension?

A: I was able to fit FS7 with Fuji 18-55mm lens with anton bauer mount. I leave the viewfinder and mic mount on, but tuck them into the camera body. It also has room for the second Fuji lens, the anton bauer batter, rails and handle. I also squeeze in a couple wireless mics in a bag. This is technically larger than allowed on the plane, but it looks close enough so I haven't had an issue. It does not fit in small regional planes at all. I just take the camera body out with battery and gate check the bag on small planes. It doesn't require breaking it down at all except for the battery which is great for ENG shoots.

Q: 8. Does the control range of 10degree means that I only have 5degree each side +-5 or the total of 20degree control range?

A: The Acratech Large Leveling Base allows 10 degrees of movement in any direction. This comes out to a total of 20 degrees from one extreme to the other.

Q: 9. Will this fit an a6500?

A: No, this would not be compatible with the a6500

Q: 10. Will this fit the Sony A7s iii?

A: I am sorry, but this model dose NOT fit the A7s3.
