Part of the ALP-X professional sound-card range, the Digigram ALP882e is a versatile, 8-channel PCIe sound card designed for professional PC-based audio systems running Windows or Linux environments. ALP882e is a reliable and stable match for applications such as broadcast (24/7/365), audio production, and outstanding audio quality measurements.

The low-profile ALP882e is equipped with 8 balanced analog line inputs plus 4 stereo AES3 inputs, 8 balanced analog line outputs plus 4 AES3 outputs, 8 GPIs, and 8 GPOs. The zero-latency onboard FPGA 32x32 mixer (8 analog, 8 AES3, 16 software play/record) enables you to route and mix audio channels from physical and software input devices to physical and software output devices. The low-latency drivers are multicard (up to 8 ALP cards) and multiclient. Breakout cables for analog I/Os and digital I/Os are available separately.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I buy the nano by itself?

A: We do not sell the nano sim adapter by itself. We only sell this kit which includes the nano sim.

Q: 2. So, it only has 1 XLR input? Does it supply phantom power?

A: Hi John, The MixPre-3 II has 3 XLR inputs along with a stereo 3.5mm input as well. The XLR inputs can all supply phantom power, and the 3.5mm input has PIP (plug-in-power) available for 1 mic.

Q: 3. Can I use for micro sd cards?

A: No, the AVODA 4-in-1 SIM Card Adapter BH #AVD41SCA is only for sim cards.

Q: 4. What material are these adapters made of?

A: Steel.

Q: 5. What is the range of the Wingman app? Can I be across the room?

A: Range anywhrere from 10 to 20 feet away should be fine unless there is other interference that will reduce the distance like what Sound Devices quoted.

Q: 6. Can I jam sync timecode using my Fujifilm X-T3?

A: Thank you for your question. Neither the Fujifilm or the Mix pre 3 generate time code. You would need to get an external time code syncing device and input the devices into the mic input on camera and the TRS AUX in on the mix pre. I suggest using the Tentacle Sync Sync E Timecode Generator with Bluetooth (Dual Set) BH #TETE2

Q: 7. Is there an option to buy a Dan Dugan auto mix?

A: For this application, SoundDevices offers MixAssist for their MixPre series recorders. https://www.sounddevices.com/product/mixassist-plugin/

Q: 8. Does this output timecode?

A: Yes it does.

Q: 9. Anyone experience a significant difference in performance between using L series batteries and eneloop pro AA? And/or do you have any experience with a difference in duration?

A: The "L" type battery is far more robust, longer lasting per charge, and more durable and convenient to use over time.

Q: 10. I am trying to decide btw Mixpre 3 and Mixpre 6, and leaning toward the MixPre 6 due to greater number of XLRs. But I notice one curious difference: the operating temperature max is listed at 140 degrees for the 3, but under 90 degrees for the 6. What accounts for this large difference? I'm not planning to work in the Sahara, but a standard summer day can easily reach 90 degrees so am concerned. Any advice on this? Have other customers run into heat problems with either the 3 or the 6?

A: We are correcting this error on our website. Thank you fo bringing this to our attention. Both items have the same environmental specifications: MixPre-6: Operating Temperature -4 to140°F / -20 to 60°C Storage Temperature -40 to 185°F / -40 to 85°C MixPre-3 II: Operating Temperature -4 to 140°F / -20 to 60°C Storage Temperature -40 to 185°F / -40 to 85°C For details related to construction and design: Sound Design: support@sounddevices.com +1 608.524.0625 main 800.505.0625 toll free
