Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. HelloNice to see the improvement on this type of scanners! This could be a great model.Could you answer is it able to save tiff format or only jpg. Which size jpg files are saved by mascine?Thank you.

A: This is a quick, easy and thus simple machine. Therefore it outputs to only JPEG, no TIFF. You could convert to TIFF in your processing program if you wish. You are given a choice of 14Mp or an up-rezed interpolation of 22Mp. These resolutions are great for the web or prints up to 4 x 6 .

Q: 2. power assembly instructions ?

A: The device is powered through a USB port on the side of the unit. The "power assembly" such as it is, consists of a USB cable and an AC adapter. The large end of the USB cable fits into the AC adapter and the AC adapter is plugged into an AC outlet. The smaller fitting on the other end of the cable fits into the USB port, or opening, on the side of the scanner.

Q: 3. Does this device have focus adjustment?

A: No, the manufacturer does not indicate that the Kodak Scanza Digital Film Scanner has any focus adjustment capability.

Q: 4. Hi, does a Kodak Scanza Digital Film Scanner able to use 220v or they able to power up by USB cable only? Thanks

A: The AC power supply that comes with this is universal meaning it can take 110 to 220 VAC. You will need to order a plug adapter for it so you can connect to your electrical mains. You will find a suitable one on this page. https://bhpho.to/2mZZNRi

Q: 5. Is it possible to view the slides/negatives without scanning?

A: Yes, you can view the image before hand with or without scanning it.

Q: 6. I have this scanner but have not used it yet. Am concerned about dust from 60+ year old Kodachrome slides. Does it disassemble for cleaning? Or does a good blower get rid of dust and cardboard fragments?

A: While this scanner cannot be dissemble for cleaning, it is best to use compressed air to reduce the amount of dust on your slides.

Q: 7. I'm going to assume vertical slides must be inserted horizontally. Is there a button to rotate the viewer (or HDMI display)?

A: The Kodak SLIDE N SCAN Max Digital Film Scanner cannot rotate the photo in the scanner or on the display. However, that can be done later in a computer.

Q: 8. Is the resolution 13 or 22 megapixels?

A: The Kodak SLIDE N SCAN Max Digital Film Scanner has a 14MP sensor which can produce enhanced images of 22MP.

Q: 9. What is the highest resolution achieved by scnner?

A: When using the Kodak Scanza Digital Film Scanner, the highest resolution is available as an "optical" resolution, or an "interpolated" resolution. When one figures "dpi" resolution, it is standard to figure the dpi depending on the intended size of print. This Kodak Scanza Scanner will achieve "optical" 1500 dpi for an 8x10, and "interpolated" 2400 and dpi for an 8x10 as well.

Q: 10. I have over 300 slides to convert. What is the capacity of this machine and how long will it take?

A: This scanner, scans 1 slide at a time. for 300 slides it would take approximately 1-2 hours.
