Carry your rig on your shoulder by incorporating this Shoulder Support from Lanparte. Using dual 15mm clamps, the Shoulder Support secures to 15mm LWS rigs. A riser clamp is included for height adjust-ability. The shoulder pad is arced to comfortably sit on your shoulder for long periods of time. A pair of 15mm rods are also included in order to more easily incorporate this shoulder plate into your existing rig or extend it further back to fit more accessories.

A: You won't have any problems using this rig. The follow focus as well as the bridge plate are adjustable. A: Yes, the LanParte Starter DSLR Camera Rig Kit is compatible with all DSLRs or mirrorless cameras.

Q: 5. Will this work with the new BMPCC4K?

A: This rig is designed for DSLR cameras, however you should be able to use the Pocket Cinema Camera 4K with it as well.

Q: 6. Looking at this for freelance work with DSLR, at my regular job we have a Canon XA35. Would it work with the Canon?

A: It will indeed work with the Canon. Remove the off-set that is needed for the DSLR to set up for the XA35. (With the XA35's LCD open, you do not need the rigs off-set.) I am not seeing how the follow focus would work. I also do not think you need that.

A: Get an extra part and you are good to go! It's the LanParte MA-01 articulating arm for EVF/ Monitor. Q: 9. Will this work with the Blackmagic Cinema Camera?

A: The BMCC offers a 1/4-20 threading on the underside of the camera body for mounting. The Lanparte rig offers that 1/4-20 screw on the base plate for mounting camera systems. You can use both products together.

Q: 10. Is this recommended for a C100 mark 1?

A: This is a generic design kit and is compatible with the C100 Mark I. However, some cinematographers find mounting the camera directly on top of the shoulder support is a better configuration for cinema cameras like C100, you can search VMS-01 which is our shoulder support specifically designed for cinema cameras and build up the rest of the kit piece by piece!

I’ve used several budget shoulder rigs and this is the sturdiest I’ve used. Some of the knob placement on the baseplate is a bit weird cuz it hits itself a lot but I don’t feel like my camera is unsafe in the slightest. Definitely look into finding counterbalance weights, though. 5

This rig is built rock solid. Not a single component feels like it will break or get worn out. I bought two LanParte counterweights to put behind the shoulder pad and those combined with this rig deliver amazing results. All the footage I've taken with this combo has smooth and natural motion and I'd even trust a less experienced assistant to be able to use it very well. I've heard of cheaper shoulder rigs falling apart after a month of use, but this thing is built to last. I would highly recommend this rig 5

I bought this to compliment my IKAN Tilta 3 components for my Sony FS5 and Nikon D810 when the full cage wasn't needed. All parts between the two products are interchangeable, which was my biggest concern. The follow focus is very good with geared lenses. I wasn't impressed with the geared adapter, even though it is adequate. The locking knobs secure the components to the rods tightly. The construction is high quality. I finished filming a short video with it last week and I have no regrets on the purchase. 5

The shoulder rig is highly customizable and works well with my Canon 6D. I bought a cheese plate to mount more accessories and next I'll buy a counterweight. It's a good base to work off of but depending on your needs you may need to buy more accessories. 5

This is my first rig. I use a Canon 5D III with it and I think it's great.� Wish the baseplate was compatible with Manfrotto quick release plates, but that's not something to be expected. I did buy a counterweight and it helps a lot. The follow focus is almost worth the price of the whole unit. Really good product 5

Lanparte offers a great build quality at a much for affordable price than some of name brand rigs on the market. The follow focus alone is over $400 so this rig is a great deal. I would have preferred that the shoulder pad be more 'cushy' but I like the fact that you can mount a battery pack to it. Normally the offset component would have been fine, but I had to buy the adjustable offset bracket because I was using a Zacuto Z-finder on my DSLR which elevated the camera and required me to shift the camera farther to the left so the Z-finder was level with my eye. Lastly, I like the design with the acid green and dark gray chrome. It looks very sharp and you can buy green endcaps for $2.50 that really make it pop. 5

Solid piece of equipment. You are mostly paying for the follow focus so if you just need a rig there are cheaper options. Overall a great purchase 5

We have multiple of the Camvate Shoulder Rigs for our video camera's. I can tell you I like the quality for the price and with B&H I can get them quickly. What my field camera operators will tell you is they are easy to use, comfortable for an extended time (like shooting football), they feel sturdy yet easy to adjust between operators and can take the constant jostle of moving about the field . For our purpose a counter weight is needed to balance the camera weight. A V-mount battery accomplishes that. This is a very good shoulder mount rig that does it's job, doesn't cost a ton and my people like. That's why we've made them our go to shoulder kit. 5
