A: Yes, the MD-HX can scale HDMI inputs with a scaled HDMI output. The same would also be true of the SDI output which you say you don't need. Pages 7&8 of the manual shows the many options in terms of signal format and aspect ratios which can be preset to adjust to the desired scaled HDMI output. I really like this model of the Decimator. It is durable and fairly easy to setup once you get to know how to navigate through the various setup choices. I use it for both HDMI and SDI output.
