Q: 1. What solutions would one use for a flash?

A: You could use any external flash that has an Multi-Interface Shoe, a good example of one that works would be the Godox TT350S Mini Thinklite TTL Flash for Sony Cameras (https://bhpho.to/2s7LJXi) Here is a listing of compatible flashes. (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/accessories/Flashes--Accessories-for-the-Sony-ZV-1/1565880-REG-48200?from=detail)

Q: 2. I'm planning to use this exclusively for Zoom calls. I just need to confirm that I can plug it in via USB (to either my iMac Pro or a USB wall charger), and that the camera will indeed remain powered and not shut off?

A: If you're connecting via USB, once setup with the proper software (Sony Imaging Edge Webcam) and the ZV-1 set to the proper settings (PC Remote), it should work as you need - but please note there are some limitations with that software and some versions of MacOS. So please confirm at (https://support.d-imaging.sony.co.jp/app/webcam/en/) for more details and instructions.

Q: 3. Can this umbrella be used with the Godox AD100Pro?

A: Yes, the Godox 34" Umbrella for AD300 Pro Flash (White) will work with the Godox AD100pro.

Q: 4. Can this camera be used with the Rode Wireless GO?

A: Yes, it is compatible with the ZV-1.

Q: 5. 4k 60fps recording or only 30fps?

A: The ZV-1 can record 4K video at 23.976p/25p/29.97p.

Q: 6. This umbrella is MFG# UBL-085W. Godox also makes an umbrella that's very similar for the AD300, which is MFG# UB-85W. They are very similar, but this model appears to pack up smaller. The other model may be a deeper, more parabolic shape. Can anyone clarify the differences? Details on the Godox website are slim too. Thanks!

A: The UB-85W is Parabolic deeper umbrella [ Parabolic focuses the light a little tighter ]

Q: 7. What are the dimensions of the lens if I want to attach a third party clip-on filter adapter?

A: According to Sony you are not able to add a filter to the front of this camera. We are not aware of what third party clip-on filters may way at this time.

Q: 8. Can it zoom as far as my Nikon S9700 30X Superzoom?

A: No, the optical zoom is a 3x zoom.

Q: 9. If I am shooting a video with the Sony a6400 and the Sony ZV-1, in post while editing, will the frame rates equal out? Does it depend on the lens I use with the a6400? I'm brand new to filmmaking and want to make sure what I film on both cameras will be the same size on the screen if that makes sense.

A: Both camera would need to be set for the same frame rate, file type and resolution.

Q: 10. Will the USB power the cameral while your connected to a capture card like the El Gato cam link? USB connection limits you to a disappointing HD 720 1280 720 30. It's 2021! If I connect via capture card to my laptop will USB provide enough power to keep the battery from draining? I want to pass 1920 x 1080P 30 fps and 4k 30 fps if that is possible. I have a good audio chain an XLR mic running through a usb interface, so I prefer to record on my computer. To match audio quality and monitor audio with headphones I'd have to use an external recorder. Or get a Rode Video Mic or Sony Video mic for the 3.5mm. And it still wouldn't sound as good as a professional XLR mic running through a usb interface with high quality pre amps.

A: You can connect the camera to the El Gato via HDMI and connect the camera to the outlet adapter with USB and the USB will power the camera.
