Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How i need to. put Zhiyun crane 3s on this? any adapter?

A: No, unfortunately the Tilta Float Handheld Gimbal Support System for DJI RS 2 (V-Mount) (BH# TIGSST01V) is designed to be used with the DJI RS 2 only and there is no adapter available for it.

Q: 2. What size v-mount batteries should be used with a BMPCC4K with frame?

A: A 98Wh is a great option and a standard size. https://bhpho.to/2Pno7fC

Q: 3. Can I also power the camera while powering the RS2?

A: Yes you can.

Q: 4. If I add a monitor to this setup using the supplied monitor arm, Do I have to run SDI/HDMI cables to the Camera, or is there a smarter way to run the necessary cabling?

A: Yes, you would need to run a cable.

Q: 5. What type of stand can be used to balance this other than a C-stand? And the float comes with an adapter to sit on top?

A: The Tilta Float Handheld Gimbal Support System for DJI RS 2 (V-Mount), features a 5/8" (babypin) mount, which will fit on a C-stand or most standard lighting stands. However, we would recommend a C-stand to hold the weight properly or another type of heavy duty light stand, such as a Matthews Light/Heavy Triple Riser Kit Stand (12.4'). https://bhpho.to/3gpFruD

Q: 6. May I know the yoke diameter that fits the Tilta Float's post? Intending to use it with other vest and arm.

A: Center Column Diameter 0.5" / 12.0 mm Number of Sections 2 Depth 13.6" / 34.5 cm Width 8.3" / 21 cm Weight 22 lb / 10 kg For additional unpublished specifications, please contact Tilta directly: Tilta: Tel: 818-561-4991 Email support@tilta.com

Q: 7. If I were to purchase this, what other items do I need to purchase to also use it as a dual handle system?

A: The Tilta Float Handheld Gimbal Support System for DJI RS 2 (V-Mount) comes with the support vest and arm that holds up the sled. One hand can be on the yoke to control the z-axis, and the other hand can be on the sled to control the pan and the tilt.

Q: 8. Does it adjust the balance if using a zoom lens, like a gimbal does?

A: Yes it does. Photography lenses that physically get longer/shorter as you zoom in and out will shift the weight balance. Internally zooming lenses affect the balance to a much smaller degree. In general if you balanced the camera rig properly zooming in/out should not affect the gimbal enough to require rebalancing. The gimbals have some ability to compensate for being slightly out of balance thus zooming in/out should not present a problem (again if balanced properly).

Q: 9. Can I use this with the Ronin S?

A: Yes. But the unit is designed to take over full control of the RS2 not the RS unit.

Q: 10. Can you switch the provided vest with the Tilta Tiltamax Armorman 3.0 Support Vest? It seems like this one would be more comfortable.

A: Unfortunately we nor Tilta, offer a configuration with the Tiltamax Armorman 3.0 Support Vest.
