The silver Spectra Strip 2' 200W 3000-6000K LED Striplight from Altman is a low-profile LED linear wash luminaire comprised of four 50W 3000-6000K light engines. Each cell can be individually filtered, lensed or diffused using the filter slots provided. White light is suitable for no color wash applications, as well as tinting the RGBA light engines in a blended wash or use with traditional color media. The Spectra Strip is suitable for both floor and pipe mounted applications and is an LED replacement for traditional theatrical strip lights, foot lights, and border lights.

A: The design of this light and most like this, hang from the ceiling. They can get to hot and next to a wall. And the mount is not made for wall attachment but for hanging as well.

A: While LED lights in generally give off less physical height than a traditional tungsten fixture, there is some heat that is still given off. As for the color temperature, this model has control over that from 2700 to 5600k. Having said that, you would be able to control how warm or cool the light should look on your talent.

Q: 5. How does this light not flood to spot? Every mole richardson fresnel they have ever made flooded to spot. Product fail.

A: It's not a fresnel, it's the equivalent of a par can. It's well built, color tuneable, dimmable and 900 dollars. Its the equivalent of a 650 watt tungsten fixture. Considering it's back ordered, I would have to say that this product is actually a big hit.

A: No. Just the light and a lanyard. Maybe a charge cable, I can't remember (it's a simple micro USB charging jack, you probably already have such a cable) However, let it be known that the swatches from a Lee or Rosco gel swatchbook fit this light perfectly, so attach whichever diffusion you like with a bit of clear double stick tape. However, It's such a physically small source, diffusion the same size of the unit is not really going to soften the light noticeably, for that you would need a larger piece of diffusion. Still, since I use this eyelight for just a bit of, yes, eyelight sparkle, I find that diffusion is Not needed as long as the light is kept on axis with the lens, where sharp shadows don't give it away.
